She was a volunteer for Birthright and was active in several card clubs. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Birthright, 1410 South Main Street, Bloomington. Dora McClure Dora McClure, age 102, formerly of Gibson City, died February 13, 1990 at the McLean Nursing Home.

She had two children, Colin DeSpain of Dayton, Ohio and the late Elda Gramley of Gibson City. She also had nine grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 10 greatgreat-grandchildren. Mrs. McClure was an elementary school teacher at Heyworth and Arrowsmith and at rural schools in Farmer City, Weldon and Holder. She was a member of the Heyworth United Methodist Church, American Legion Auxiliary, and a 50-year member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 370, now Chapter 580 of LeRoy.

Bloodmobile achieves goal Susan Schultz, chairman of the Gibson City-Elliott area Bloodmobile, reported that Monday's bloodmobile visit was a success. With 135 persons signing in during the visit, the bloodmobile was able to achieve its goal of 125 units. There were ten deferrals and 11 first-time donors. A more detailed report will be published in next week's edition of the Courier. Time to nominate Area residents still have a few days to nominate someone for the Gibson Chamber of Commerce Outstanding Citizen Award.

Deadline for submitting nominations for this award is Saturday, February 23. To nominate some deserving persons, residents may simply complete the coupon located in this issue of the Courier and mail it to the Chamber office in Gibson City. The award will be presented Thursday, March 8 at the Chamber's annual banquet to be held at the Gibson City Elementary School. Evergreen Cafe has new location The Evergreen Cafe in Melvin is now open in its new location. The business is now located at 107 West Main Street in Melvin, formerly known as the Wagon.

Wheel. The Evergreen Cafe is open Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and on Saturday from 6 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Public test Notice is hereby given that the public test of the automatic tabulating equipment to be used at the primary election on March 20 will be conducted March 12 at 9 a.m. in the County Clerk's office, Room 101, 200 West State, in Paxton. Zander, age 69 of Gibson City died at 1:25 p.m. Monday, February 19, 1990 at Veterans Amdinistration Medical Center in Danville. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30" a.m.

Burial will be in Drummer Township Cemetery in Gibson City where military graveside rites will be accorded by the Chanute Air Force Base Ceremonial Unit. Zander was born February 21, 1920 in Sibley, a son of Fred and Irene Blum Zander. He married Marilyn E. Murry on September 3, 1948 at Gibson City. He is survived by his wife. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Zander was a lifelong resident of the Gibson City area. He has been employed as a policeman in Gibson City for 15 years and five years with the Ford County Sheriff's Department in Paxton. He was an Army veteran of World War II and was a German prisoner of war for 27 months. He was a member of the Lee Lowery American Legion Post 568, the Brotherton-Keller V.F.W.

Gilbert 'Gil' Graham Gilbert "Gil" Graham, age 38 of Saybrook was pronounced dead at the scene of an automobile accident on Interstate 57 half a mile south of Dongola in Union County. O'Neal Beulah T. O'Neal, age 78, a resident of Gibson City for 57 years, died at 2:50 p.m. Thursday, February 15, 1990 at Covenant Medical Center in Urbana. Her funeral was conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. at Lamb Funeral Home, Gibson City, with the Reverend Clarence Bangs officiating.

Burial was in Drummer Township Cemetery, Gibson City. Visitation was held from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Pallbearers were Jim Nelson, Frank Page, Gary O'Neal, William Hunter, Raymond Tjarks, and Jim Nelson. Mrs.

O'Neal was born June 3, 1911 at Ellsworth, a daughter of Lemuel and Bessie Gaffney Taylor. She married Delmer C. O'Neal on February 19, 1927 at Bloomington. He preceded her in death on June 12, Survivors include two daughters, Donna Holland, Gibson City and Betty Lou Ennen, Port Charlotte, Florida; three grandchildren; seven greatgrandchildren; and one greatgreat-grandson. One brother and two sisters, including her twin sister, preceded her in death.

Mrs. O'Neal, who was a homemaker, was a member of the First Christian Church of Gibson City. Memorials may be made to her church. Helen J. Christian The funeral of Helen J.

Christian, age 70 of Bloomington, formerly of Hudson and Lexington, was conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home in Bloomington and at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Church, Bloomington. The Reverend David Kipfer and Robert Hermes, deacon, officiated with burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Normal. Visitation was held from 4 to 8 p.m.

Friday at the funeral home with a prayer service at 7 p.m.. Mrs. Christian died at 2:35 a.m. Tuesday, February 13, 1990 at Martin Health Center in Bloomington. She was born June 12, 1919 in Bellflower, a daughter of John and Mary Powers Power.

married Lawrence M. Christian on February 1, 1940 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He died May 6, 1981. Survivors include one son, John Michael of Marietta, Georgia; one daughter, Laurel Neidhoefer of Hartland, Wisconsin; three brothers, Power of Bellflower; Robert Power of Marion; and James Power of Lincoln, Nebraska; four sisters, Mary Brown, Bloomington; Theresa Brewer of Tolono; A Alma Hermes of Bloomington; and Cecilia Tudor of Bar Harbor, Maine; six grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. One sister preceded her in death.

Mrs. Christian was a graduate of Bellflower High School and St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nurs- A Saybrook man was killed and his wife injured in an automobile accident in Southern Illinois Monday, February 19. Gilbert "Gil" Graham, age 38, was dead at the scene of the crash on Interstate 57 half a mile south of Dongola in Union County, according to state police at DuQuoin and an article published in Tuesday's Pantagraph. According to the report, Graham was a passenger in a car driven by his wife, Marge Graham, age 40.

The couple was southbound when the car left the roadway striking an unoccupied pickup truck parked on the shoulder. According to the Pantagraph article, Mrs. Graham was in satisfactory condition Monday at Southeast Missouri Hospital, Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Graham was a co-owner of Graham Excavating in Normal and his wife works at State Farm Insurance in Bloomington. They were headed for vacation in Biloxi, Mississippi when the crash occurred.

Police are continuing the investigation of the crash which occurred on a straight stretch of road.
