To Hold Ladies' Night Picnic Members of the Bloomington Chapter for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barber Shop Quartet Singing in America will hold their annual late Summer picnic Tuesday evening at the H. L. Loomis home at Lake Bloomington. It will be a ladies night with the picnic scheduled at 6:30 p. m.

Emil Wichmann, Lloyd Schad and Merle Rohler are on the committee arranging the event. Befa Sigma Phi Plans Meeting The first Fall meeting of Nu Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority will be held Tuesday at 8 p. m. The meeting will take place at the home of Edna Dirks of 601 E. Monroe St.

Assisting hostess will be Miss Beverlie Steele. The chapter will hold a Fall rummage sale Sept 8. MR. AND MRS. C.

L. BUCKLEY of 1512 E. Olive St. and their children, Connie and Mike, are entertaining Mrs. Buckley's parents, Mr.

and Mrs. Clair Williams of Des Moines, Iowa. They have been frequent visitors here. Mrs. Buckley's home was in Des Moines before her marriage.

MR. AND MRS. MORRIS FULLER, 901 N. McLean have as their weekend guests their daughter and her family, Mr. and Mrs.

Charles Harper Terry and Mike. They are living in Blooming-dale, outside of Wheaton. Mr. Harper is the son of Mr. and Mrs.

Charles Harper, 622 Normal Normal. The Harpers brought their German Shepherd police dog with them to enter him in the Corn Belt Kennel Show Monday. The dog has taken several prizes. MR. AND MRS.

P. L. EVELSIZER and children, Chad and Sandra, of 407 Broadway, Normal, returned Tuesday from a month's trip to California. They visited the Jefferson Kauffmans and the Glen Kings of Hollywood while there. The two couples are former residents of Bloomington.

On their way home they stopped in Phoenix, to see the Lee Ritchies, also formerly of Bloomington. -i DR. AND MRS. THOMAS ROSE, 1 Country Club PL, are having several Labor Day week end house guests. Their daughter, Frankie, and her T.

King, and year old son, Freddy, are here from Chicago. Tom Rose Jr. is bringing a guest, Miss Jeanette Rysa, from Gary, Ind. Mr. Rose is with a transportation company in Gary.

Betty Rose, the other daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Rose, is in Heidelburg, Germany, working as legal secretary to Colonel Patterson. She flew over last March. She has her car there and is seeing the continent on weekends.

She has driven through Holland, Switzerland and has spent several -weekends with Mrs. Reed Madden of Xenia, Ohio, in Paris and Baden-Baden. Mrs. Madden will leave for home the first of October. MRS.

MAUDE SILVEY, 503 LaFayette and her friend, Mrs. Stella Wagner of Waukegan, have returned from a four weeks trip through the Southeast driving over the new Appalachian Parkway. They visited Gatlinburg, Virginia Beach, and stopped with friends in Spruce Pine, N. C. They spent several days in Williamsburg, stopping at the Inn and attending lectures at Williamsburg College.

On their return trip they visited White Sulphur Springs, W. Va. MR. AND MRS. WILLIS MAGIRL.

AND MRS. WALTER CREBER, 1503 E. Washington and their two children, Sally and Joe, left Friday to make their new home inXSlen Ellyn. Mr. Creber is with the Chicago Steel Service Company at the home office.

Several parties were given for the Crebers the past week. MR. AND MRS. GEORGE PERRY of 1506 E. Oakland have recently returned nome irom several days visit in Chicago.

MISS BEBE KAY LUSHER, 502 S. Fell Normal, returned Friday from Cherokee, N. where she attended the outdoor production of "Unto These Hills," the story of the Cherokee Indians, MRS. ROSS HUME, Mrs. William Costigan and Mrs.

Vane Bosworth who made arrangements for the Bloomington Country Club annual guest day bridge last Tuesday. Mrs. Hume is president of the organization, the other two women were hostesses for the day. MRS. WILLIAM DRIGGS, Mrs.
