(PNS)-Coron-er T. P. Jennings of Mason City was called to Havana Wednesday to conduct an inquest following the drowning of Wayne Brown, 13 year old son of Earl and Louise Murphy Brown of Bushnell. The boy was visiting at Matan-zas lake south of Havana, at the cottage of Col. Brooks of Camp Ellis.

About 4:30 p. accompanied by the Brooks' sons, Johnnie and Jimmie, he was rowing a boat on the. lake. In some manner one of the oars was dropped into the water, and WajTie dived into the water to get it. He failed to come to the surface and the alarm was given.

C. A. Watts, operator of the Watts fish market, was summoned to search for the body. He recovered it about 4:30 p. m.

Coroner Jennings directed the search. The body was taken to the Himmel funeral home, Havana, and the inquest was held at 9:30 p. m. The verdict was 46 OZ. CAN Paul Nelson Dies At Home in Dwight DWIGHT.

(PNS) Paul Nelson, 27 year old son of Mrs. Eva Nelson of Dwight, -died at his home at 2 a. m. Wednesday. He had been ill 15 months.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p. m. at the home. The Rev. J.

Kent Sanderson, pastor of the Congregational church will conduct the service. Burial will take place in Oak Lawn cemetery. He is the second son of the late Albert C. Nelson and Mrs. Eva McCleary Nelson and was born Feb.

8, 1916, at Dwight. He had spent his entire life in Dwight. He attended the public schools of Dwight and is a graduate of the Dwight Township high school. Prior to his death he was employed as a clerk at the Nelson grocery store in Dwight. His father preceded him in death.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Eva Nelson, and his wife, Mrs. Mildred Weikum Nelson of Dwight and by two brothers, Charles Nelson of Kankakee and Sgt. Lee Nelson with the armed forces in Pennsylvania. He was one of Dwight's aggressive young men.
