Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Rose Bearden, Pekin; a brother, Jacob, Delavan; two sisters, Mrs. Katherine Kuszmaul and Mrs. Krall, Pekin; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Five brothers and a sister preceded him in death.

He was a member of the Pekin Bible A retired employe of the Corn Products Company, he was a member of their 25-year club. He had lived in Pekin 42 years. Mr. Mullin was born Oct. 3, 1878, near Farmer City, a son of Patrick and Ann Campbell Mullin. He never married. Surviving is a brother, Thomas of Farmer City, A sister and a brother ceded him in death.

Jacob L. Backer BENSON (PNS) Jacob L. Backer, 49, of Benson, died at 10:45 a.m. Friday at the Veterans Administration Hospital, Danville. A private funeral service will be at 2 p.m.

Sunday at the Wilcox-Folkers Memorial Home, Benson, the Rev. Elmer Elzey officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery west of Benson. Visitation will be 7-9 o'clock this evening at the memorial home.

Madison, Bloomington. Mrs. Williams was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Clara Sotzen LINCOLN (PNS)-Mrs.

Clara Sotzen, 77, died at 7:15 a.m. Friday at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital. Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Holland and Barry Funeral Home, the Rev. L.

H. Appel officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon and evening. Mrs.

Sotzen was born Dec. 4, 1890, in Seward, a daughter of John and Belle Davis McNaley. She was married to Frank Sotzen in 1914. He died in 1954. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs.

Mabel Hertzfeldt and Mrs. Virginia Culleton, son, Richard, all of "Lincoln; three sisters, Mrs. Ella West, Lincoln; Mrs. Bonnie Hermes, Springfield; and Mrs. Essie Powers, St.

Petersburg, 11 grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren. She was a member of Lincoln Christian Church. Mrs. Nellie Mayo FLANAGAN (PNS) Mrs. Nellie R.

Mayo, 74, died at 6:25 p.m. Thursday at a Peoria Hospital. Her funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Froelich Memorial Home, the Rev. Dale Smirl officiating.

Burial will be in Center Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 6 o'clock tonight. She was born Nov. 28, 1883, at Rinard, a daughter of J. R.

and Agnus Clark Thompson. She was married to George Mayo at Cisne Jan. 15, 1921. He died Jan. 20, 1952.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Henry Peters, Lockport; and Mrs. Phillip Wilcox, Long Beach, a sister, Mrs. Odell Wiechman, Pontiac; a brother, Owen Thompson, Pontiac; and seven grandchildren. Mrs.

Mayo was preceded in death by six brothers and three grandchildren. She was a member of Flanagan United Methodist Church. She retired from teaching after working in Southern Illinois. PONTIAC (PNS) Mrs. Florence Turk, 54, of 710 Sherman, died at 9:25 p.m.

Friday at St. James Hospital. She had apparently suffered a cerebral hemorrhage about 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Pontiac Chair Company where she was employed. She was taken to the Raleigh J.

Harris Funeral Home. Mrs. Clyde Cusick GIBSON CITY (PNS) The funeral for Mrs. Clyde Cusick, 73, who died Thursday, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Funeral Home.

The Rev, Hugh Reynolds will officiate and burial will be in Allendale, Cemetery, Allendale, at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. today. Estle Cusick born April 30, 1895, at Allendale, a daughter of William and Drettie ProHarris.

She was married to pes Clyde F. Cusick Sept. 12, 1910, in Vincennes, Ind. Surviving are her husband; a son, Melford, Granville; three daughters, Mrs. Pauline Van Antwerp, Goshen, Mrs.

Hazel Mosher, Freeport; and Mrs. Helen Fryman, Champaign; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. H. A. Litherland, Lawrenceville.

A son, three brothers, two sisters and a granddaughter preceded her in death. She was a Gibson City resident for 37 years and was a member of the First Christian Church. Russell Baker LE ROY (PNS) CWO 4 Russell W. Baker, 49, of Sandia Base, Albuquerque, N.M., a former Le Roy resident died Wednesday at his home in Albuquerque. He will be brought to the Bruce Memorial Home, Le Roy.

He was born Nov. 14, 1918, at Somerset, a son Dewey C. and Dora Koff Baker. He married Betty Walden in June 1949 at Bloomington. Surviving are his wife, in Albuquerque; his parents, of Le Roy; four sons, Robert Richard John and James and a daughter, Barbara, at home; a brother, Donald, Burlington, Iowa; two sisters, Mrs.

Paul Head, Peoria; Mrs. Clarence Parson, Columbus, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. A sister preceded him in death. He graduated from Towanda High School in 1937. He had planned to retire from the U.S.

Army later this month after completing 25 years of service, including participation in World War II and the Korean conflict. On April 1 he had returned to this country after eight years with the Army in Germany. In the course of his Army training he attended the University of Maryland. The former Shell Oil Co. division manager died at St. Joseph's Hospital Thursday. Friends may call at the memorial home from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday.

The family has suggested that any expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of contributions to Wesley Methodist Church or the heart fund. Mr. Sinclair was born at Martel, Iowa, Aug. 4, 1889, a son of James and Jane Sinclair. His oil firm work took him to Chicago and Indianapolis.

He married Anna Paulsen Dec. 1914, in Bloomington. Surviving are his wife; a son, Duane, Colfax; a sister, Miss Janet, Houston, two grandsons, a niece and a nephew. A brother preceded him in death. In Indianapolis he was a state Boy Scout director and director of the Indiana Chamber of Commerce.

In 1949 he was made a Kentucky Colonel. Mr. Sinclair held in Wesley United Church, Masonic Lodge 43, the Bloomington Consistory, Peoria's Mohammed Shrine and the Corn Belt Horseman's Association and was a 50-year ber and past patron of Keystone chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Ethel Davis Mrs.

Ethel M. Davis, 70, of 1101 Franklin, Normal died at 8:50 a.m. Friday at Brokaw Hospital, where she had been a patient since May 31. Her funeral will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Beck Memorial Home.

Burial will be in Park Hill Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Mrs. Davis was born in Normal March 8, 1898, a daughter of Herman F.

and Anna Zimmer Johnson. She was married to William L. Davis Sept. 15, 1920 in Peoria. She is survived by her husband and several cousins and nieces and nephews.

A brother preceded her in death. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Bloomington and secretary of the church's Anchor Sunday School class. She also belonged to the Carl S. Martin Legion Auxiliary in Normal. Oscar Conrad Oscar Conard, 83, of Peoria and previously a Bloomington resident for 55 years, died at (12:30 a.m.

Friday at Proctor Hospital, Peoria. He had been in the hospital since March. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Chatsworth Cemetery, Chatsworth. Mr.

Conard was born Aug. 8, 1884, at Jamestown, Ohio, a son of William and Mary, Conard. He married Marie Schlott Nov. 11, 1913, in Bloomington. She died Nov.

8, 1962. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Hugh Reeves, Peoria; five grandchildren, and two greatgrandchildren. Mr. Conard, who worked as a salesman in Bloomington department stores, moved to Peoria years ago.

Mrs. Blanche Bennett Mrs. Blanche A. Bennett of Walnut Creek, formerly of Bloomington, died June 1 in Walnut Creek. Funeral and burial were Monday in California.

Mrs. Bennett was born in Atlanta and was a resident of Bloomington for many years. She attended Bloomington public schools and Illinois State University. She and her husband, Charles H. Bennett, moved to California in the mid 1930s.

He is a retired State Farm Insurance Company executive and formerly coached at Trinity High School. Besides her husband, Mrs. Rodger McKeon Rodger J. McKeon, 72, of 307 W. Olive, a retired Corn Belt Electric Co.

employe, died at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Brokaw Hospital. He had been ill three months. His funeral will be at 9:30. a.m.
