30, 1886, In Laenna Township, a daughter of Christian and Minnie Kusterpr Schroth. Surviving Is a brother, Ed, of Chestnut. Two sisters and six brothers preceded her in death. Mrs. Vaughan FAIRBURY (PNS) Mrs.

Vivian Jeanne Vaughan, 45, died at 2 p.m. Friday In Fairbury Hospital. She had been In failing health for several weeks. Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Cook Funeral Home.

The Rev. J. E. Caudill will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday. She was born Nov. 16, 1926, in Fair-bury, a daughter of Clarence and Lillian Harl Moore. She was married to Ceroid Vaughan on March 2, 1942.

Mrs. Vaughan worked as a nurse. rwn i mmmmmmmmmmmm i 1, Vy I- ii i a fir 1 -xfil and was a show worker for SO years. He married Lorctta Piatt A number of years following her death, he married Beatrice Studebaker, Jan. 19, 1946.

Surviving are his wife; a son, Dennis; daughter, Mary Sue; a sister, Mrs. Julia Brown, Pontiac; two brothers, Joseph 'and John, Pontiac. He was preceded in death by a daughter, two sisters and a brother. Mr. Dobbs served In the U.S.

Army during World War I in the 129lh infantry. He was a member of the American Legion, the Veteran of Foreign Wars and W.W. I Barracks. Louis A. Oates PEKIN (PNS)-Louis Alan Oates, 37, of 1304 Catherine, died Tuesday in the Cook County Hospital, Chicago.

Death apparently was due to natural causes. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. today at Veterans Memorial Cemetery. The Rev. William Pruett will officiate.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. today at the Kuecks Funeral Home. He was born July 23, 1934, in Pekin, a son of Henry and Grace Hoffman Oates. Surviving are his mother, Pekin; two brothers, 'Donald Pekin; Henry, Peoria, and a sister, Mrs. Barbara demons, Pekin.

He was preceded in death by his father. MINONK (PNS) John Jacob Warnke, 86, died at St. James Hospital, Pontiac, at 7:20 a.m. Friday. His funeral will be at 2 p.m.

Sunday at St. Paul's United Church of Christ. The Rev. James Elliott will officiate. Burial will be in Minonk Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Folkers Memorial Home and an hour prior to the service at the church Sunday. Mr. Warnke was born in Woodford County Sept. 17, 1885, a son of John J.

and Rebecca Cordes Warnke. He married Cassie Oltman Feb. 26, 1913, at Benson. Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Mabel Wessel, Roanoke, and Mrs.

Leona Hill, rural Washburn; four grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren. A sister and two brothers preceded him in death. Mr. Warnke was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ.

He was a retired farmer and carpenter and a former employe of the Caterpillar Tractor Co. Miss Dorothy Huling GRAYMONT (PNS) Miss Dorothy E. Huling, 66, of R.R. 3, Pontiac, died at 1:36 p.m. Friday at Mennonite Hospital, Bloomlngton.

She had been a patient three weeks. Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Froelich Memorial Home. The Rev. Gilbert Fletcher will officiate.

Burial will be in Payne Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the memorial home. Mrs. Huling was born at Pontiac July 4, 1906, a daughter of Edwin S.

and Zaerry Huling. She was never married. Surviving are a brother, Carl, R.R. 3, Pontiac; three sisters, Mrs. Clara Krid-ner, Fairbury; Mrs.

Jane Winterland, Chenoa, and Mrs. Frieda St. John, R.R. 3, Pontiac. She was preceded in death by her KEMPTON A full year of research, planning and hard work will end here tomorrow when the congregation and friends of Kempton's First Methodist Church celebrate their centennial with a day-long program.

Among those taking part will be the Itev. Glenn Gothard, Nashville, the Rev. Walker Butler, Varna, and Dr. William Bennett, Springfield, assistant to Bishop Lance Webb. Services will begin at 10 a.m.

and will be followed by a church dinner at noon. A public, service, greetings and reminiscing period Is scheduled for 2 p.m. Donald Haley, general chairman, and several committees have spent weeks compiling the church history, which will be published in a centennial booklet. Mrs. Hoy Weaver has gathered a display of pictures tracing the history of the church from its beginnings.

The pictures will be displayed In the church. The church has been served by 36 ministers over the years beginning with the Rev. J. D. Calhoun in 1872 to the present Rev.

Richard C. Muhleman, who is serving his third year. The first church was built in the spring of 1882 at a cost of $2,000. The present large brick church was built in 1926. It was erected during the pastorate of the Rev.

J. A. Decker when $25,000 was pledged by the congregation. According to Mr. Muhleman, one of the highlights of the centennial will be the fellowship dinner.

A number of former members are expected to attend the "homecoming." Complete major street repairs FARMER CITY (PNS) The Fanner City street improvement project was completed Tuesday with a total cost of $8,900 financed through the Motor Fuel Tax Funds. Major repair work was on East Water Street, on South Plum Street, in the Jackson Heights addition and the First church Kempton The first Methodist Church building in Kempton was trected in 1682 at a cost of $2,000. Congregation is to mark its centennial year with full day of events tomorrow. Jill Stephens, Fairbury, and Mrs Kathy Zollars, Batavia; a sister, Mrs. Janet Fibley, San Antonio, Texas; and a brother, Ronald, Fairbury. Her father preceded her in death. Mrs. Vaughan was a member of the First Christian Church of Fairbury.

Memorials may be made to the Cancer Fund. Mrs. Azelia Rogers GIBSON CITY (PNS) Mrs. Azelia Beulah Rogers, 75, died at a hospital in Tucson, Thursday, after a lingering illness. Her funeral will be 1:30 p.m.

Monday at the Lamb Funeral Home, Gibson City, the Rev. Richard J. Baumer officiating. Burial will be in Drummer Township Cemetery. Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m.

Mrs. Rogers was born at Guthrie July 28, 1896, and was married to Earl Rogers in Gibson City. They lived near Manhattan, for many years and for the past six years lived in Tucson. 'Surviving are her husband; a son, Lt. Col.

Evan Abilene, a grandson; two brothers, Raymond Yeager, Manhattan; Earl Yeager, Wilmington; a sister, Mrs. Francis Thiel, Philo. parents and three brothers. WENONA (PNS) Michael J. Danaher, 85, a retired Osage Township farmer, died at 7:05 p.m.

Thursday in Riverside Manor Nursing Home, Rockford. He had been a residefit several months. His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Church.

The Rev. Vincent Jasiek will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at the Thierry Funeral Home from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.

The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Mr. Danaher was born in Richland Township, May 19, 1887, a son of John and Matilda Ascherman Danaher. He married Katherine Sennett May 14, 1919. She died in February, 1970.

Surviving are a son, John, Rockford; a a daughter, Mrs. Gertrude Howell, Upper Saddle River, N.J.; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. Mr. Danaher resided in Osage Township most of his life.

Mr. Patchett was a science teacher at Riverside Brookfield High School. He was a graduate of Reddick High School and the University of Illinois. He was a member of the or I Alpha Tau Alpha and the Neighborhouse fraternities. LINCOLN Alonzo W.

Scott, 80, of 223 N. Sangamon, died at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital. His funeral will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Holland and Barry Funeral Home.

Rogers of Alger, Ohio, formerly of Towanda and Randolph, died Thursday night at his home. He was a retired farmer who left the area in 1926. He had been in failing health. His funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Hulles-Lee Funeral Home in Alger, Ohio.

He was born March 29, 1897 in Kentucky, a son of Mr. and Mrs. George Rogers. He married Lucy Schlosser Feb. 13, 1926 in Hudson.

Walter Holder, 67. died at his home at 11:20 a.m. Friday. He had been ill for some time. His funeral will be at 2 p.m.

Monday at the J. T. and E. J. Crumbaugh Memorial Spiritualist Church.

The Rev. Robert J. Macdonald of Cassadago, president of the National Spiritualists Association of Churches, will officiate. Mr. Holder will be cremated.

Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Stensel's Funeral Home in Le Roy. He was born June 24, 1905. in Detroit, a son of George and Sadie Holder. He married Grace Gibson at Phoenix, Nov.

9, 1957. Surviving are his wife; his father, Saskatchewan. Canada; three brothers, John, in California; Howard, Saskatchewan, and Harold, Tucson, Ariz. Mr. Holder last week celebrated 54 years of service in the Spiritualist Church.

Sue Johnson, Mulberry, and two grandchildren. She was a member of the First Christian Church and the Myrtle Chapter, Order of Eastern Star in Clinton. She had been secretary of that chapter for about 25 years.
