Mrs. John Knglish, outgoing historian, designed the txxik with needlework. The book will be displayed at the state meeting at the University of Illinois in March as one of the top three district winners. Mrs. Bert I-ott made a presenation of the county bicentennial quilt, which was also displayed at Uie meeting.

Legon Auxiliary sets program on music American Legion Auxiliary will meet at 8 p.m. Thursday at the post home. Special emphasis on music will be the theme of the meeting. Business for Amaranth Bloom ingt on-Normal Chapter No. 3, Order of the Amaranth, will hold a stated meeting at 7:30 p.m.

George Popejoy of Cropsey are observing their 25th wedding anniversary today. They were married Sept. 24. 1950. at the farm home of her parents, the Floyd Taylors of Anchor.

Attendants were Mrs. Janice Norton of Bloomington and Mrs. Herbert Pope joy of Sibley. Popejoy is employed by Kastern Illinois Power Cotijx'rative of Paxton. The couple has three sons at home, Paul, Ray and Greg.

Wayne Naffzigers feted for 40th year ATLANTA (PNSl-Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Naffziger of Atlanta were honored for their 40th wedding anniversary at a surprise reception Sunday afternoon at the home of their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Richard McKown.

Hosting the reception were their four, daughters, Mrs. Patty Kutilek of Lombard, Mrs. Shirley Stroud of Armington, and Mrs. Sharon McKown and Mrs. Vicki Walters of Atlanta.

The Naffzigers have eleven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. On Friday, the Naffzigers were guests of their daughters and families at a dinner at the Sinorak in Bloomington. Saturday night they entertained their attendants, John Turner and Mrs. Either Denight of Green Valley, and their spouses. They were married Sept.
