She married U'onard Underwood July 12, 1974. in Clinton. Surviving are her husband; a daughter. Mrs. Beverly Sievcrs.

and Mrs. June Breitman. both of iX'catur. Mr. Grabb was a shopping center developer and was a past president of the Decatur chapter of the American Business Club as well as a former national president of that organization.

He also was a member of the Decatur Illini Club and the Decatur Home Builders Association. He served with the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II. Flanery infant PONTIAC (PNSi-Larry Marvin Flanery 55-day-old son of Larry M. and Rosa M.

He had been hospitalized since April 30. Mr. Hellemann, a retired farmer, also was past director and president of Tremont Cooperative Grain Co. and past director of the Illinois Grain Dealers Association. He had served 30 years in the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Davis Mortuary, Tremont, with the Rev. Robert Pitsch officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

15. 1899. in Elm Grove Township, a son of Christian and Jeanette McLean Hellemann. Surviving are a brother, Frank, R.R. two sisters.

Miss Mabel Hellemann. Tremont and Mrs. A. A. Thornburgh, Mansfield; three nieces and three nephews.

Two brothers preceded him in death. He was a member of the Tazewell County Farm Bureau. Memorials may be made to the Mt. Hope Cemetery Association. George Woerner TREMONT George L.

Woerner, 73. R.R. 1, a retired farmer, died at 7 a.m. Sunday at his home. He had been under a doctor's care.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Apostolic Christian Church, with church ministers officiating. Burial will be in Apostolic Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9:30 p.m. today at the Davis Mortuary, Tremont.

Mr. Woerner was born Jan. 20, 1902, in Tremont, a son of Chris and Mary Lang Woerner. He married Lena Moser Oct. 28, 1928, in Tremont.

She died July 26, 1973. Surviving are three sons, Fred R.R. 2, Pekin; George Tremont. and Kenneth R.R. 1, Tremont; a foster son, Robert Quick, Memphis, Term.

two daughters, Mrs. Ronadl Stoller, Fort Wayne, and Mrs. Carl Sinn, R.R. three brothers, Chris and Ben, both Tremont, and Carl, Tampa, and two sisters, Mrs. Willis Sauder and Miss Elizabeth Woerner, both of Tremont.

The emblem should be of abstract design, letters, words, objects of any combination and must be suitable for reprduction on buttons or plates. The emblem should represent one of three phases of the celebration, Heritage (our history), Festival (the present celebration), or Horizon (our future). The winner will be determined on the basis of originality and suitabilty and will be announced at a later date. The winner will receive a $50 award. Entries will be taken by Dick Brobst of rural Heyworth until June 15.

Dora Rosenberg. 90. of 334 S. Fourth died at 7: 10 m. Saturday at Pekin Memorial Hospital.

Visitation will be an hour before services at the chapel. She was born July 17. 1884. in Poland, a daughter of Israel Isaac and Bertha Bella Grossman Feinborg. She married Frank Rosenborg May 26.

Harwinton. Conn. His mother and a brother preceded him in death. Mr. Scheuer was a World War II Army veteran and a recipient of the Bronze Star while serving in Germany.

Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the uncral home. She was born Aug. 31. 1885.

at Beallsville, a daughter of James and Annie Snyder Coyle. She married Victor Strawn Dec. 23, 1911, at Edinburgh, Ohio. He died in 1963. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs.

Glenn Hool, Streator; Mrs. Wilbert Sieving. Mansfield, and Mrs. Wilbur Berge. Manville; a brother, William Coyle.

Streator; 12 grandchildren, and 16 greatgrandchildren. Two brothers and a sister preceded her in death. Mrs. Strawn, who taught school in Ohio before her marriage, was a member of the Dana United Methodist Church. H.

Joe Kelly EMDEN (PNS)-H. Joe Keily. 71. rural Emden, a retired farmer, died at 5 a.m. Sunday at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield.

His funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick's Church, Lincoln, with the Rev. Norman Goodman officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Waynesville.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Holland and Barry Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. He was born Aug. 18, 1903, at Delhi.

Iowa, a son of Dennis and Mary Rogers Kelly. He married Jessie Rich June 23, 1936, at Wapella. She died Aug. 8. 1972.

Surviving are a daughter, Miss Kathryn Kelly, rural Emden, and two brothers, James, Newport, and Emmett, St. Paul, Minn. Two brothers preceded him in death. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Lincoln.

Clyde King PONTIAC (PNS) Graveside services for Clyde C. King, 76, of 415 N. Locust, a retired Sealtest Co. operating engineer who died Saturday, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Wisconsin Memorial Park Cemetery, Brookfield, Wis.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Behrendt Funeral Home, Pontiac. He was born Dec. 5, 1898, at Waynesville, a son of Leonard and Zella Clausen King. He married Mary E.

Weeks March 17, 1922. at Milwaukee, Wis. She died in April, 1968. Surviving are two brothers. Oria King, La Verne, and Truman King, Pontiac; a sister, Mrs.

Frank Shuman, Champaign, and several nieces and nephews. Mr. King attended Waynesville schools and Bradley Tech. Peoria. He was a World War I veteran.

lie was appointed U.S. attorney in 1971. Thompson. 37, will be awarded an honorary doctoral degree by Lincoln College. Hiker reports knapsack theft A 21-year-old Lincoln, man was charged by McLean County police with the theft of a hitchhiker's knapsack and flute Saturday evening.

Michael D. Boudinot was in McLean County Jail in lieu of $1,000 bond, scheduled for a court appearance today. Police were called to the Hen House restaurant at Carlock by Malcolm T. Cooper, 24, Paterson, N.J. Cooper said he was hitchhiking from New Jersey to Minnesota and was picked up by a man in a purple car near Danville.

When he went to the rest room at the service station near the restaurant about 5:30 p.m., Cooper said, the man drove away with his belongings. The attendant at the Sunoco Service Station recalled the man and car and which way he had headed when he left, police said. State police stopped a car of that description on the Murray Baker bridge at East Peoria and returned the driver to Carlock. Boudinot then was charged, according to police reports. Tiller worth $267 stolen in Hudson Thieves took a garden tiller from a rural Hudson residence Saturday night by walking it out of a garden and placing it in a vehicle which stopped along U.S.

51, according to McLean County sheriff's police. Mrs. Tom Bates told police that her son, Paul, used the machine Saturday. Police found footprints through the garden to where tire tracks indicated a vehicle had parked on the shoulder of the road. The tiller was valued at $267.

Delavan policeman out of hospital DELAVAN Clarence Reed, 55, a Delavan policeman, was dismissed Sunday from Methodist Hospital, Peoria, where he had been admitted Saturday with injuries he received while trying to break up a fight at a Delavan tavern. Delavan police charged Howard E. Coats, 25, Delavan, with 10 counts of aggravated battery, aggravated assault and resisting arrest. Coats, who was taken to the psychiatric ward of Methodist Hospital, had a knife in his possession, according to police reports. Vehicle reported stolen Phillip Nevius, 112 Second McLean, told McLean County sheriff's police that burglars broke into a shed in his backyard and took more than $1,000 worth of equipment.

Police said the lock on the shed had been broken to allow entry. Missing were an all-terrain vehicle valued at $900 and a garden tiller valued at $300. Double-purpose word Cherokee is one of the few words which can be used as both singular and plural. IHIospital Notes ST. JAMES DR.

He attended the University of Illinois Roanoke-Benson team wins chess matches ROANOKE PNS (Roanoke-Benson High School's chess team tied for first place with Aurora Central Catholic High School Saturday in the first Illinois High School Association chess tournament at Rantoul. The Roanoke-Benson team compiled a 7-1 won-loss record in tournament competition leading to the two-day finals. On its way to the title, the team won 10 trophies. There will be no visitation. The Beck Memorial Home is in charge of arrangements. Miss Turley was born July 22, 1889, near Jacksonville, a daughter of Felix G. and Cordellia Raymon Turley. Surviving is a sister, Mrs.
