Welch was born Jan. 8, 1897, at Birkbeck, a daughter of Robin and Charlotte Thrasher Spencer. She married Nathan Welch Sept 13, 1915. He died Dec. 23, 1940.

Survivors Include four sons, Virgil, Wapella; Merle Delmar and John, both of Clinton; and Donald, Arkadelphia, four daughters, Mabel Manigan, Killeen, Texas; Eva Plummer, Maroa; Ada Blake, Wapella; and Mary Query, Decatur, 26 grandchildren; 60 greatgrandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Two sons, one daughter, one brother, two sisters, five grandchildren and one great-grandchild preceded her in death. Mrs. Welch attended the Clinton Assembly of God. Edward Hauter MORTON Edward E. Hauter, 89, of Delray Beach, since 1975, a former Morton resident, died at 6 a.m. Sunday (May 12, 1991) at his home. His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bethel Lutheran Church, Morton, the Rev.

He was born Jan. 13, 1902, in Morton, the son of Joseph and Emma Wittmer Hauter. He married Clara E. Oekel June 21, 1927, in Pekin. She died March 27, 1989.

Survivors include two daughters, Phyllis M. Spinner, Delray Beach, and Judith K. Shank, Lake Bluff, three brothers, Joseph, Ben S. and Chris all of Morton; six grand-children; and two greatgrandchildren. Three sisters preceded him in death.

Mr. Hauter worked for the former Interlocking Fence and Meyer Manufacturing of Morton for more than 40 years, retiring in 1965 as treasurer. He attended the Bethel Lutheran Church, Morton, was past president of Morton Optimist Club and had served on the Morton Grade School board. Memorials may be made to Bethel Lutheran Church. Beer and Ruth Tebbetts, both of St Petersburg, and Josephine Jeck, Eureka. One brother and one sister preceded him in death. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

He was born Oct 25, 1927, in Creek Township, DeWitt County, a son of Harry and Elsie Darsham Brennan. Fenocchl died at 12:50 a.m. lyesterday (May 13, 1991) at Monte 'Cassino Health Care Center, Toluca. She was born April 16, 1924, in Macon, a daughter of Samuel and Mary Ronchetto Ronchetto. She married Ralph Senocchi Feb. 23, 1946, in Kincaid.

He survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Marina Farruggia, River Forest; Camille Sanchez, Forest Park; and Klmberly Yunker, To. luca; one sister, Rose Ronchetto, Kincaid; one brother, Dominick, Palmer; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother. Mrs.

Fenocchl attended St Ann's Catholic Church. She was a cashier and bookkeeper at Mona's Italian Restaurant in Toluca, retiring in 1984. Memorials may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation. She was cremated. Mrs. Sowers was born Oct 17, 1907, in Adams, a daughter of William and Daisy Barry Page. She married Dr. Herbert T.

Sowers on June 17, 1942, In Streator. He died June 19, 1983. Surviving are one sister, Erma Lewis, Chicago; and one brother, Elden Page, Chicago. Three sisters preceded her in death. Mrs.

Sowers graduated from Charles W. Seymour High School, Payson, in 1924. She received her bachelor's degree in education from Western State College, Macomb. She taught elementary school for 25 years and later worked as a receptionist in her husband's office for 20 years. Mrs.

Sowers was a member of Park United Presbyterian Church, Streator, an honorary education fraternity at Western Illinois University and the Platonic Literary Society. She married Henry Thom Feb. 19, 1944, in Bloomington. He survives. Also surviving is one brother, Laurence Hougham, Afton, Okla. She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

Monday (May 13, 1991) at Saint Francis Medical Center, Peoria, following a lengthy illness. He was born April 10, 1955, in Bloomington, a son of Eugene M. and Sarah Schulz Smith. He married Belinda K. Gossman on April 23, 1983, In Effingham.

She survives. Other survivors include his parents, 35 Terrace Lawn, R.R. 2, Bloomington; paternal grandmother, Marie Smith, Glen Dean, one daughter, Melissa Smith, 64 Brookshlre Green, Bloomington; two brothers, Douglas, Houston, Texas, and Gary, San Antonio, Texas; and two sisters, Patricia Smith, 602 W. Mr. Smith was a member of First Church of God in Bloomington, and the American Postal Workers Union Local 228, Bloomington. He was a 1973 graduate of Bloomington High School. He was a 24-year veteran of the Bloomington Fire Department, where he was a representative to the Trades and Laborers union. He worked at Rowe Construction Bloomington, during his off-duty hours. He was voted 1990 Laborer of the Year by WJBC.

22, 1939, in Davenport Iowa. He died Oct 23, 1965. Surviving are one daughter, Kathy Verdun, R.R. 4, Blooming-ton; one sister, Marcella Lawless, R.R. 3, Streator, and one granddaughter.
