Rinkenberger and Pearl Brackman were married Aug. 21, 1937, at the Christian Church parsonage in Bloomington. They are parents of Roberta Leake of Gridley. They have three grandchildren. A son, Charles, is deceased.

Rinkenberger is a retired truck driver. 25th anniversary for Dennis Koberleins McLEAN An open buffet reception from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Waynesville Christian Church will celebrate the silver wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Koberlein of rural McLean.

Koberlein and Kaye Orr were married Aug. 26, 1962, at First Baptist Church, St. Elmo. Marilyn Smith and Herschel Koberlein were their attendants. They are parents of Cathy and Philip, both at home, and Brian of Cerro Gordo.

The Koberleins are engaged in farming. 50th anniversary for Vivian Hattans TOLUCA Mr. and Mrs. Vivian Hattan of LaRose will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Antioch Christian Church, Toluca.

The Hattans were married Sept. 15, 1937, in Davenport, Iowa. They are parents of Floyd of Wilmington; Melvin of Wenona; Gloria McVey of Saratoga, and Jane Douglas of Quincy. There are nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Before retiring, the Hattans were engaged in farming.

50th anniversary for Frank Youngs A family vacation trip to New Jersey and Massachusetts, including several days at Cape Cod, celebrated the golden wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Young of 2619 Hall Court, Bloomington. Their children and grandchildren planned the observance. Young and Lucile Burnett were married Aug.

24, 1937, at Downs Methodist Church. They are parents of Jane Vogelsang of Caldwell, N.J., and Robert of Dalton, Mass. They have four grandchildren. Young is a retired agriculture instructor, having taught at Charleston, Table Grove and Washington, and Mrs. Young is a former McLean County Farm Bureau 50th anniversary for Ralph Harrells PAXTON An open reception from 2 to 4:30 p.m.

Aug. 30 at St. Mary's Parish Center, Paxton, will honor Mr. and Mrs. Ralph D.

Har-rell of Paxton for their golden wedding anniversary. Their children and grandchildren will host the event. Harrell and Rena Catardi were married Aug. 28, 1937, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Chicago. John H.

Harrell and Anne Esther Catardi were their attendants. They have two sons, Gregory J. of Olathe, and Richard F. of Hoopeston, and five grandchildren. Harrell retired in 1976 after 44 years as a teacher and administrator in Illinois schools, including 35 years in the Paxton Community Unit Schools.

50th anniversary for Vernon Hiesers FOOSLAND Vernon and Margaret Hieser of Foosland will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at East Bend Mennonite Church, Fisher" Their children will be hosts. Hieser and Margaret Ulrich were married Sept. 8, 1937, at the home of the bride in Eureka. They are parents of Judy Hershberger of 306 Margaret Normal; Sally Gaff of Kouts, Sharon of Bondville; and Ken of Foosland.

They have seven grandchildren. The Hiesers farm near Fisher. 50th anniversary for Donald Ludys Mr. and Mrs. Donald Ludy of 1004 S.

Summit Bloomington, will be honored for their golden wedding anniversary with a family dinner Friday at Tabard Inn, Lexington, and a party Saturday evening at Davis Lodge, Lake Bloomington. Their children will be hosts. Ludy and Elaine Holstein were married Aug. 21, 1937, at Gary Me-morial Methodist Church, Wheaton. They are parents of Emil of rural Hudson; Don of Wheaton; Chris of 1004 S.

Summit Bloomington; Lynne of Honolulu, Hawaii; and Laurel of Cornish, N.H. They have nine grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren. The Ludys previously owned an inn at Brandon, and now Ludy is employed by Eastland Suites and Mrs. Ludy is employed by Carson Pirie Scott. 60th anniversary for Mrs.

Gentes CHENOA A family dinner Sunday will celebrate the 60th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Gentes of rural Chenoa. Their children will be hosts. Gentes and Wilda Myer were married Aug.

25, 1927, at the home of the bride's parents in Eppards Point Township. They are parents of Elaine Rhoda of rural Chenoa; Robert of rural Lexington; and Kathleen of Fox River Grove. They have three grandchildren and eight greatgrandchildren. A granddaughter is deceased. The Genteses are retired from farming.

40th anniversary for Mrs. Jones LINCOLN Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence A. Jones of Lincoln will be honored for their 40th wedding anniversary with an open reception from 2 to 6 p.m.

Sunday at the Lincoln American Legion Hall. Their children and grandchildren will host the event. Jones and Eloise Birk were married Aug. 17, 1947, at Lincoln Christian Church. They have two daughters, Sonjo McAfee and Maria Shanle, both of Lincoln, and four grandchildren.

Jones is employed by WPRC-WESZ radio in Lincoln and Mrs. Jones owns and operates Eloise's Beauty Shop in Lincoln. 50th anniversary for John Coomers HEYWORTH John and Grace Coomer of Heyworth will observe their golden wedding anniversary Aug. 28. They celebrated at a July family reunion at Heyworth Park, hosted by their children.

A fall train trip to Arizona also will celebrate the anniversary. Coomer and Grace Weaver were married Aug. 28, 1937, at Tuscum-bia, Mo. They are parents of Terry of rural Heyworth and Jonalee of 106 E. Vernon Normal.

They have one grandchild. Coomer is retired from Texaco Pipeline Co. 25th anniversary for Dave Sowerbys LeROY Dave and Pat Sowerby of rural LeRoy are observing their 25th wedding anniversary today. A family dinner, hosted by their children, will celebrate the event. Sowerby and Pat Coleman were married Aug.

18, 1962, at St. Stephen's Church, Streator. Larry Maniglia and Geraldine Rolinski Cleary were their attendants. They are parents of Nan Copley of LeRoy; and Pam and Megan, both at home. Sowerby is employed by the custom-made homes division of Schwulst Building Center, Bloomington, and Mrs.

Sowerby is a teacher at Tri-Valley Senior High School. 25th anniversary for Virgil Bradys CLINTON A hog roast Saturday at Revere Recreation Hall, Clinton, celebrated the silver wedding anniversary of Virgil and Janet Brady of Clinton, whose anniversary is Wednesday. Their children hosted the event. Brady and Janet Goodwin were married at Mount Pulaski Methodist Church, Aug. 19, 1962.

Karl "Lonny" Lonbom and Sharon Hanks Lowery were their attendants. They are parents of Debra, James and Amy, all at home; Michael of Clinton; and Lisa Smith of Chesapeake, Va. They have one grandson. and Mrs. Sherman Cusac of Rutland for their 40th wedding anniversary. Their children will host 25th anniversary for Ronald Zieglers CLINTON Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Ziegler of Clinton will celebrate their silver wedding anniversary with an open reception from 2 to 4 p.m.

Sunday at Clinton Assembly of God Church. Their children will be hosts. Ziegler and Dianne Hoffman were married Aug. 25, 1962, at St. John's Catholic Church, Clinton.

Sue Hoffman and Albert Kinder were their attendants. They are parents of Debbie Brady of Clinton, and Steve and Kelly, at home. 40th anniversary for Robert Wagners Robert and Arleen Wagner of 1208 S. Linden Normal, will be honored for their 40th wedding anniversary with an open reception beginning at 7 p.m. Saturday at Covell Town Hall.

This will be a joint reception with their son-in-law and daughter, Courtney and Charlotte McRill, married in Seattle, July 26, 1985. The Wagners were married Aug. 24, 1947, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Bloomington. Gene Schaab and Margie McGarrity were their attendants. They are parents of Lynn of Cottage Grove, Charlotte McRill of Bow, and Dale, at home.

A son is deceased. Wagner retired from Ralston-Purina in 1983 and Mrs. Wagner is employed by Illinois State University. 60th anniversary for Lawrence Leasers ARMINGTON A family dinner Sunday in Atlanta will honor Lawrence and Louise Leaser of Arm-ington for their 60th wedding anniversary. The dinner will be at the home of a daughter, Loretta Darnall of Atlanta.

Leaser and Louise Kimes were married Aug. 20, 1927, at Lincoln Christian Church parsonage. Their other children are Donna Duran of Stanton, Charles of Staunton; Julia Fleming of Mober-ly, and David of Lincoln. They will be hosts also. The Leasers have 26 grandchildren and 27 greatgrandchildren.

Lawrence Hepperly of rural Chenoa will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary with an open reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Pontiac Elks Club. Hepperly and Oveta Weber were married Aug. 25, 1937, at the home of the bride's parents. Mary Hepperly Getts and Delford Weber were their attendants.

They have two sons, Brian of Beloit, and Larry of Pontiac, and four grandchildren. 50th anniversary for Earl Birkeys GIBSON CITY Earl and Dorothy Birkey of Gibson City will be honored for their golden wedding anniversary with a family dinner at 11:30 a.m. Aug. 29 at Gibson City Bible Church, followed by an open reception from 2 to 4 p.m. at the church.

Their children will be hosts. This will be a double celebration also honoring Joseph C. Birkey of Fisher for his 100th birthday. He was born Sept. 3, 1887.

Birkey and Dorothy Weaver were married Sept. 2, 1937, in Fisher. Viola Stacey and Harvey Stacey were their attendants. They are parents of Richard of Rossville; Vernon of rural Brad-enton, and Robert of Omaha, Neb. They have three grandchildren.

65th anniversary for Mrs. Wells Mr. and Mrs. George N. Wells of 2025 E.

Lincoln Apt. 2103, Bloomington, will observe their 65th wedding anniversary Sunday. Wells and Lillian Floyd were married Aug. 23, 1922, at Carbon-dale. They are parents of George J.

Jr. and Betty C. Potts, both of R.R. 2, Bloomington. They have four grandchildren.

50th anniversary for Richard Naffzigers MACKINAW Mr. and Mrs. Richard Naffziger of 4315 Orange Drive, Holiday, formerly of Mackinaw, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a family gathering Friday. The Naffzigers were married Aug. 21, 1937.

They are parents of Shelby of Mackinaw; Roger of Florida; and Donna Ogram of Arizona. They have 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Naffziger was a self-employed carpenter for many years. Birkey formerly owned Birkey Sound Recording Service in Gibson City and retired from farming in 1982. Mrs.

Birkey, a licensed practical nurse, is employed part time by Gibson Community Hospital Annex. 25th anniversary for Richard Rhodas CHENOA Mr. and Mrs. Richard Rhoda of Chenoa will observe their silver wedding anniversary Wednesday. Rhoda and Judy Atkins were married Aug.

19, 1962, at Fairbury Methodist Church. Sandy Atkins Whalen and David Rhoda were their attendants. They are parents of Todd, Kurt and Darin, all at home. Rhoda farms near Chenoa. TO mm 25th anniversary for Mrs.

Alexander Mr. and Mrs. Julius Alexander Jr. of R.R. 16, Bloomington, will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary with a trip to Carmel, to attend the Vintage Auto Race and Concours Delegance.

Alexander and Sue Ann Murphy were married Aug: 19, 1962, in Decatur. They are parents of Julius III, a student at Southern Illinois University, and Brett Murphy, a student at Illinois State University. Alexander is vice president of administrative services at Champion Federal Savings and Loan and Mrs. Alexander is a partner in About the House, a custom picture-framing shop, Eastland Mall. Central Gulf Railroad and Mrs.

Brady is manager of Webster School cafeteria, Clinton. the event. Cusac and Dorothy Marie Wep-pler were married Aug. 31, 1947, in Rutland. They are parents of Penny Kunkle of Peoria and Jerry of Rutland.

They have five grandchildren. A granddaughter is deceased.
