Pantagraph D-15 Bloomlngtin-Normal, III. March 15, 1971 Central Illinois Deaths i I i l.i Kathryn Dwyer FARMER CITY (PNS)-Kathryn Dwyer, 81, Jackson Heights Nursing Home, died at 6 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph's Hospital Medical Center, Bloomington. Her funeral will be at 11 a.m.

Thursday at Sacred Heart Church, with the Rev. C.B. Motsett officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Farmer City.

Visitation will be until 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Stensel's Funeral Home in Farmer City. The rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m. She was bom Sept.

13, 1896, In Farmer Ray Spear TOLUCA-Ray K. Spear. 64, died at 11:55 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Hospital in Streator, where he had been a patient three weeks.

His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. John Lutheran Church in Toluca, the Rev. Robert Hannemann officiating. Burial will be in St.

John Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Aimone Funeral Home in Toluca, and one hour before the service Thursday at the church. He was born Nov. 9, 1913, in Piper City, a son of Dewey and Bertha Shive Spear.

He married Dorothy Peterson Oct. 15, 1936, in Varna. She survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Jeanne Naumann, Tonica; a son, Kenneth Spear, Toluca; a sister, Marjorie Bland, Bethany, and seven grandchildren. He was employed for 38 years as an agent for the Standard Oil Co.

in Toluca, retiring in October 1975. For 14 years he was a school bus driver for the Toluca unit schools. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Hasty MACKINAW (PNS)-The funeral of Howard S. Hasty, 84, of Bartonville, formerly of Mackinaw, was Wednesday at Endsley and Son-Hines Funeral Home, Bartonville. The Rev. L. Scott Huson officiated, with burial in Swan Lake Cemetery, Peoria.

Mr. Hasty died at 4:50 p.m. Sunday in the emergency room at Methodist Medical Center, Peoria. He was born June 14, 1893, in Mackinaw, a son of William and Mary Ammerman Hasty. He married Nellie Hittle at Pekin Sept.

25, 1919. Surviving are his wife; a son, Cecil, Peoria; a daughter, Mary Clancey, Peoria; a brother, Homer, Bartonville; a sister, Ruby Scott, Denver, seven grandchildren and nine greatgrandchildren, A daughter and a grandson preceded him in death. He had been a finisher at the Keystone Steel and Wire Co. for 35 years, retiring in 1958. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bartonville Fire Department and Rescue Squad.

Lena Kimble DEER CREEK (PNS)-Lena Kimble. 83, died at 7:15 a.m. Tuesday at Queenwood Shelter Care Home, Morton, where she had been a patient since Nov. 2. Her funeral will be at 2 p.m.

Thursday at Perry Memorial Home, Morton, the Rev. Tom Cone officiating. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today at the memorial home.

She was born Feb. 17, 1895, in Missouri, a daughter of Charles and Mary Millard Layten. She married Roy C. Kimble March 14, 1916, in LeClede, Mo. He died June 29, 1973.

Surviving are two sons, Richard Berwyn, and Raymond, Deer Creek; three grandchildren, and eight greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, six brothers, one sister and one greatgrandchild. She was the last surviving member of her family. She was employed for 19 years by Morton Pottery and was a member of the Deer Creek Baptist Church. Edwin Mills LINCOLN-Edwin C.

Mills 47, a Lincoln attorney, was dead on arrival at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital. He had been under a doctor's care. He was taken to Kerrigan Funeral Home. He was born Feb.

Shepherd Marquardt. He mar-' ried Eugenia Black on Oct. 21, 1939, in Bloomington. Survivors include his wife; his mother, 916 W. Oakland three daughters, Diane Schraufnagel, R.R.

Gayle Marquardt, at home, and Joy Kellner, 307Vi E. Baker a brother, Elden, Saratoga, and four grandchildren. A brother preceded him in death. He was a member of the United Methodist Church. William Firebaugh William Firebaugh, 67, Branson, -formerly of 805 N.

Mr. McConnell was employed as a switchman by the Illinois Central Gulf Railroad. He was a veteran of World War II. He belonged to the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen, the Moose lodge, the Eagles lodge and St. Mary's Church.
