THE PANTAGRAPH, SATURDAY, JULY 7, 1984 CENTRAL ILLINOIS Mildred S. Bielfeldt COLFAX Mildred S. Bielfeldt, 71, of R.R. 1, Colfax, a lifelong resident of the Anchor-Colfax area, died at 11:05 a.m. yesterday (July 6, 1984) at Gibson Community Hospital, Gibson City.

She had been ill. Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. John's Lutheran Church, rural the Rev. Melvin Blobaum officiating.

Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax, with a prayer service at 8 p.m., and from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday at the church. Mrs.

Bielfeldt was born Dec. 25, 1912, at Anchor, a daughter of Henry W. and Anna Beecher Lage. She married Ralph W. Bielfeldt Dec.

14, 1933, at Anchor. He survives. Also surviving are four sons, LaMar, Abilene, Texas; Dale, Colfax; Allan, El Paso; and Bruce, Anchor; a daughter, Irma Barr, Sullivan; four brothers, Louis, Leo and Merlin Lage, all of Colfax; and Carmen Lage, Englewood, two sisters, Hazel Klintworth, Colfax, and Ida Watson, Kissimmee, and eight grandchildren. Mrs. Bielfeldt was a member of St.

John's Lutheran Church, the Dorcas Society and Friendship Club. Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church or to the Eastern McLean County Ambulance Association. Charles F. Hoobler GRIDLEY Charles F.

Hoobler, 94, retired president and co-founder of the Gridley Telephone died at 4:10 p.m. yesterday (July 6, 1984) at Meadows Mennonite Home. His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Froelich Memorial Home in Gridley, the Rev. George Claussen officiating.

Burial will be in Gridley Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the memorial home. He was born March 19, 1890, in Gridley, a son of Charles and Jennie Stoufer Hoobler. He married Lucinda Wilson Feb.

20, 1913, in Mount Solon, Va. She died June 6, Survivors include five daughters, Martha Umland, Eureka Springs, Lois Baker, Bloomington; Fayne Hunter, Lake Havasu City, and Vera Brady and Carol Flesher, both of Gridley; 18 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, four sisters and an infant son. Mr. Hoobler retired from the Gridley Telephone which he and his father founded, in 1970 when he sold his majority interest.

He was president of the company for 56 years. A lifelong resident of Gridley, he was an officer and 40-year member of the Gridley Volunteer Fire Department. He was also a member of the Gridley Community Club and the Gridley Lions Club and was active in local government. He attended the United Church of Gridley. Memorials may be made to the Meadows Mennonite Home in Gridley.

Edward Froschauer MOUNT PULASKI Edward "Froggie" Froschauer, 76, of Mount Pulaski died at 1:20 p.m. Thursday (July 5, 1984) at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield. A memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Mount Pulaski, the Rev.

Harold Weber officiating. The family will receive friends in the church basement after the memorial service. Fricke-CalvertSchrader Funeral Home, Mount Pulaski, had charge of arrangements. Mr. Froschauer was born March 7, 1908, in Hambourne, Germany, a son of Frank and Helen Hollup Froschauer.

He married Hazel Gasaway Sept. 21, 1933, in Mattoon. "She survives. Other survivors include three sons, Edward, Zweibrucken, Germany; Richard, Lincoln; and Eugene, Springfield; a brother, Frank, Green Bay, two sisters, Anna Petelinsek, Lincoln, and Johanna Mesarosch, Springfield; eight grandchildren; and a greatgrandchild. A sister preceded him in death.

Mr. Froschauer was a retired meatcutter. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and the Logan County Farm Bureau. He also was Can honorary member of the Mount Pulaski American Legion post.

Memorials may be made to the Mount Pulaski New Ambulance or to St. John's Lutheran Church. ON THE RECORD Bruce E. Danforth MINONK (PNS) The funeral of Bruce E. Danforth, 65, of R.R.

2. who was dead at 10:55 a.m. Thursday (July 5, 1984) of injuries suffered after a tractor overturned and pinned him beneath it, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the United Methodist Church in Minonk, the Rev. Mary Mallory officiating.

Burial will be in Minonk Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 tonight at Folkers-Froelich Memorial Home, Minonk, and one hour before services at the church. He was born May 6, 1919, in Minonk, a son of Carlton and Ethel Rogers Danforth. Surviving are a brother, Gordon Danforth, Peoria, and a sister, Myra Cufaude, Glen Ellyn. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Danforth was a member of the Minonk United Methodist Church where he was on the board of trustees, chairman of the Finance Committee, and a past chairman of the Administrative Board. He was a member of the board of Simater Home. He was a lifetime Minonk resident and farmed near Minonk since 1959. He also drove a school bus for the Minonk-Dana-Rutland schools.

Memorials may be made to the Bruce E. Danforth Fund at MinonkDana-Rutland schools. Leckey C. Brown LINCOLN Leckey C. Brown, 86, a resident of St.

Clara's Manor, died at 8:14 a.m. yesterday (July 6, 1984) at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital. Her funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Holland Barry Funeral Home, Dan Lang officiating. Burial will be in Camp Butler National Cemetery, near Springfield.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. She was born April 20, 1898, at Richland, a daughter of William F. and Matilda Parker Halsey. She married George L.

Brown in 1916 at Rockport, Ind. He died July 8, 1956. Surviving are three sons, Russell, Lincoln; Guy, Newark, and Dennis, Bloomington; a daughter, Helen Van Etten, Memphis, a brother, Curren Halsey, Lincoln; two sisters, Mildred Schonewise, Lincoln, and Gladys Yeager, Rockport, eight grandchildren; and 11 great She was preceded in death by a son, a daughter and a sister. Mrs. Brown was a housewife and a member of First st Christian Church, Lincoln; Christian Nursing Home auxiliary; American Legion Auxiliary; and was a Gold Star Mother.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Ida L. Irmeger GRIDLEY (PNS) Ida L. Irmeger, 82, of 208 W. Sixth Gridley, died at 10:15 p.m.

Thursday (July 5, 1984) at home. She had been under medical care. Her funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Evangelical Mennonite Church in Groveland, the Revs. Gene Schupbach and Phillip Watson officiating.

Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Ludwig-Rohrschneider Mortuary in Morton and one hour before the service at the church. She was born March 20, 1902, in Pekin, a daughter of James and Mary Rupp. She married Willis H.

Irmeger Sept. 6, 1927, at Carlock. He died Oct. 27, 1982. Survivors include a son, Clayton, R.R.

1, Flanagan; two brothers, Dewey Rupp, Manito, and Allen Rupp, Pekin; four sisters, Dollie Kitson, Adrian, Irene B. Johnson, Gladys Cameron, and Hazel Sewards, all of Chillicothe; and four grandchildren. Mrs. Iremeger lived in the Groveland area before moving to Gridley, where she had lived for the past eight years. She was a member of Evangelical Mennonite Church, Groveland.

Memorials may be made to the World Team-Haitian Pastors' Fund. James Anderson CULLOM (PNS) James F. Anderson, 90, of Round Barn Manor, 2000 W. John Champaign, formerly of Cullom, died at 7 p.m. yesterday (July 6, 1984) at Burnham Hospital, Champaign.

His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Cullom, the Rev. Marvin Ackerman officiating. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m., Sunday at Stewart Funeral Home, Cullom, and an hour before the service at the church. He was born Oct. 13, 1893, at Ashkum, a son of Christian and Mary Lutz Anderson. He married Kathryn Zeedyk Jan. 13, 1922, at Danforth.

She died Aug. 22, 1981. Surviving are four daughters, Eleanor Hoch, Oskaloosa, Iowa; Phyllis Wilken, Champaign; Thelma Johnson, Brookston, and Barbara Callahan, Park Forest; two sons, Paul, rural Piper City, and Glenn, rural Kempton; a brother, Walter, Ashkum; a sister, Ferne Petersen, Tinley Park; 22 grandchildren; and 14 great children. An infant daughter, four brothers and four sisters preceded him in death. He was educated at Greene school near Ashkum.

Mr. Anderson had farmed for 35 years in the Cullom area, and had lived in Cullom for 15 years before moving to Champaign in 1978. He was a U.S. Army infantry veteran of World War a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Cullom; and for more than 50 years, a member of Skinner-Trost American Legion post, Cullom.

He also was active in the Round Barn Manor Association, and had been a reading partner at Garden Hills Schools, Champaign. Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, Cullom. John N. Morris STREATOR (PNS) John N.

Morris, 65, of 513 Spring died at 1:15 a.m. yesterday (July 6, 1984) at St. Mary's Hospital, Streator, where he had been a patient one day. His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Solon Funeral Home, Streator.

Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Streator. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Solon Funeral Home, where the rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. He was born Jan.

16, 1919, in Streator, a son of Henry and Mary Joseph Morris. Surviving is a brother, William Morris, Mansfield, Ohio. He was a lifetime Streator resident and was employed by OwensIllinois Glass Co. until his retirement in 1978. He was a U.S.

Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. BLOOMINGTON NORMAL Cecil H. Mason The funeral of Cecil H. Mason, 72, of 413 E. Jackson Bloomington, who died Thursday (July 5, 1984), will be at 7 p.m.

Sunday at Main Memorial Home, Bloomington, the Rev. Dr. Troy Corriveau officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Owensboro, Ky. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m.

Sunday at the memorial home. Mr. Mason was born Aug. 1, 1911, in Vanzant, a son of Alfred A. and Myrtle Mitchell Mason.

He married Rosa Jane Rearden Nov. 23, 1932, in Owensboro. Survivors include two sons, Virgil, rural Hudson, and Daniel, whose address was unavailable; two brothers, Jesse, Roxana, and Leslie, Flaherty, two sisters, Hazel Stephens and Lillian Trenton, both of Owensboro; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Two brothers and three sisters preceded him in death. Mr.

Mason farmed in the Towanda area and was an inspector for The Eureka Co. for 10 years before his retirement. He was a member of Machinists Lodge 1000, International Association of Machinists and Bloomington Lodge 745 of Loyal Order of the Moose. Bernard P. Hefner Bernard P.

Hefner, 61, of 19 J-Z Mobilemanor 122 Greenwood Bloomington, a retired farmer and president and chairman of the board of the Peoples State Bank of Colfax, died at 9:07 p.m. Thursday (July 5, 1984) at St. Joseph's Hospital Medical Center, Bloomington. He had been ill. His funeral will be at 11 a.m.

Monday at Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, John C. Raeburn officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the memorial home.

Mr. Hefner was born March 10, 1923, in Lexington, a son of Clyde and Mildred Pickering Hefner. He married Viola Weidner Feb. 5, 1944, in Decatur. She survives.

Other survivors include his parents, Lexington; two sons, Steve, Tempe, and Bob, Morton; a daughter, Nancy Klintworth, Saybrook; two sisters, Marjorie Brucker, Lexington, and Rachel Saybrook; and five grandchildren. Peasley A graveside service for Richard Eugene Peasley, 25, Harrison, a Bloomington native, who died June 30, 1984, at Boone County Medical Center, Harrison, was Tuesday at Maplewood Cemetery, Harrison. Mr. Peasley died from injuries suffered in a one-car accident June 30 in Arkansas. He was born Dec. 9, 1958, in Bloomington, a son of Robert and Delores Dodge Peasley Sr.

Survivors include his father, of Harrison; his mother, F. Delores Benjey, 1101 W. Wood Bloomington; two sons, Joshua and Ryan, both of 710 Orlando Normal; two brothers, Robert Peasley Harrison, and William ElIsworth; and three sisters, Donna J. Peasley, Kankakee; Susan K. Peasley and Bonnie Peasley, both of Harrison.

Christesons Funeral Home, Harrison, had charge of arrangements. Beatrice V. Isch Beatrice V. Isch, 82, formerly of 2012 E. Lincoln Bloomington, died at 7:40 p.m.

Crime information nets cash awards The board of AID Crimestopers of McLean County approved cash awards totaling $1,750 at its regular monthly meeting.

The first award of $500 was for information leading to the arrest of one person and recovery of $2,907 worth of merchandise taken in the June 25 robbery of Brown's Sporting Goods, College Hills Mall. The second award of $500 was for information leading to the arrest of two juveniles and the recovery of $2,200 worth of golf clubs taken in the June 6 burglary of Bloomington Country Club. After they were arrested, the juveniles confessed to two other burglaries. The third award of $750 was for information leading to the arrest of one person in an armed robbery of a Union 76 gas station at 302 N. Clinton Bloomington, on June 30.

Danvers man cited in Millikin award Millikin University in Decatur has named Howard L. Gravett, Danvers, as 1984 Alumnus of the Year. The award recognizes outstanding service to Millikin and is the highest honor the university presents to its alumni. Gravett is a professor emeritus of biology at Texas University, where he taught from 1946 to 1976.

During his tenure at Texas he headed the premedical and predental programs. Gravett graduated from Millikin in 1933. He received his master of arts and doctorate degrees from the University of Illinois. ISU Foundation member elected Dr. J.

Anthony Dustman, 202 Imperial Drive, Bloomington, has been elected to the board of directors of the Illinois State University Foundation. Dustman is one of five new members of the board of the foundation, which has a purpose of raising private funding for educational purposes at ISU. HEALTH Carle adds rehab service Carle Clinic Association has opened a vocational rehabilitation consulting service in its Bloomington-Normal branch clinic. Rick Boerema, a certified rehabilitation consultant, began work at the clinic July 2.

The program is open to attorneys, insurance companies and private individuals. It will include evaluating injured workers' physical capacities; determining the physical requirements of particular jobs; job placement or modification for workers after rehabilitation after injury; and work hardening, a reconditioning activity allowing people to return to work. "There was not enough showing of interest to make it worthwhile," Wilber said Thursday.

Wilber's group met in late May to discuss plans. The meeting drew fewer people than organizers had hoped, for, partly because it fell over the Memorial Day weekend. But a second meeting, early in June, attracted even fewer people than the one before, Wilber said. Wilber said in May that about 250 members would be needed to pay for the upkeep of the building and property, an annual cost of about $5,000 per year. Lila Jarke, 72, of 1607 Bradford Lane, Normal, was bitten on the foot at 7 a.m. yesterday while at 5 Walker Drive. The bite punctured her skin. She was treated and released from Brokaw Hospital. Jerry Gadberry, 24, of Clinton was trying to help Brian Ciscoe, animal control warden, capture a dog in a yard at 1008 S.

Low St. at 2:25 p.m. yesterday when he was bitten on the forearm, receiving two puncture wounds. He did not seek treatment, police reports said. The warden later caught the animal.

Cooksville man hurt falling out of pickup A Cooksville man was in fair condition late last night at Brokaw Hospital, Normal, after he fell out of the back of a moving pickup truck shortly after 6 p.m. in the 1500 block of North Cottage Avenue, according to Normal rescue reports. Richard Shelton, 27, suffered a cut on his head, plus numerous abrasions and contusions, rescue report said. SCHOLARSHIPS Alta R. Lancaster, daughter of Mr.
