Mary A. Weaver EUREKA Mary A. Weaver, 91, died at 11 a.m. yesterday (Dec. 26, 1992) at Maple Lawn Nursing Home, Eureka.

Bacon Burdctta Ann Bacon, 87, who had lived in Bloomington for more than 50 years until she moved to the St Louis area, died at 11:05 a.m. Friday (Dec. 25, 1992) at the Friendship Village of West County Retirement Center, St.

Louis County, Mo. A private family service and burial will be In East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington. Schrader Funeral Home, Ballwln, has charge of arrangements. Mrs. Bacon was born July 25, 1905, at Mount Vernon, a daughter of Lawrence and Norma Frick.

She married Russell D. Bacon, who died in 1948. Survivors include one daughter, Norma Jean Hart, Cape Coral, one son, Russell Ellisville, and five grandchildren. Mrs. Bacon, who lived In Bloomington from the late 1930s until she moved to the St Louis area, formerly was a secretary at Illinois State University, including the office of Thomas Metcalf School.

She retired in 1981. She was a member of Second Presbyterian Church, Bloomington, for many years and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Anna Donaldson The funeral of Anna Mable Donaldson, 65, of 1215 N. Roosevelt Bloomington, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Metzler-Froelich Me and a maternal grandmother, Margaret Van Hook, 1309 W.

Monroe St, Bloomington. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather and paternal grandparents. Marjorle M. Sams The memorial service for Mar-jorie M. Sams, 86, of 104 Eisenhower Drive, Apt C6, Bloomington, a nurse's aide and teacher, will be at 11:30 a.m.

Monday at the Unitarian Church of Bloomington. The Rev. David Robins will officiate. Her private burial will be at East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington. There will be no visitation.

Beck Memorial Home, Bloomington, is handling arrangements. She died at 1:20 a.m. Dec. 14, 1992, at her home. Mrs.

Sams was born Jan. 31, 1906, in Lexington, a daughter of Issac Irvin and Mabel Harper Messer. She married Edwin L. Sams Sept 13, 1936, in Bloomington. He died June 15, 1967.

Surviving are a son, Ed, R.R. 13, Bloomington; three sisters, Ethel Sharp and Mary Stichter, both of Lexington, and Ruth Putman, 305 S. McLean St, Bloomington; and three grandchildren. A brother and two sisters preceded her in death. She was a nurse's aide at Brokaw Hospital for many years and taught for a Lexington rural school.

She attended Illinois State Normal University and Brown's Business College in Bloomington. She was affiliated with the Unitarian Church of Bloomington. Shelton Fannie E. Shelton, 85, of 17 Eth-ell Parkway, Bloomington, died at 5:25 p.m. yesterday (Dec. 26, 1992) at McLean County Nursing Home, Normal. Arrangements are pending at Beck Memorial Home, Hill Cemetery Helen T.

Mentzer in 1928. She married Helmuth Gantzkow in 1951 in Kankakee. He died Aug. 1, 1980. Surviving are one daughter, Ruth Sciutto, 1504 Clinton Bloomington; one brother, Charles Theivagt, Carrollton; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Five brothers, two sisters and one son preceded her in death. She was a file clerk at Caterpillar Tractor Co. for 19 years. She was a member of Second Christian Church, Keystone Chapter Order of Eastern Star and a charter member of the Caterpillar Retirement Club. Traveling, drawing and painting were among her hobbies.

Memorials may be made to the McLean County Art Association or Home Sweet Home Foundation. Russell E. Hopkins The funeral of Russell E. Hopkins, 82, of 918 N. Oak St, Bloomington, a retired assembler, will be at 2 p.m.

Johnson, 51, of Villa Park, sister of a Lexington woman, died Thursday (Dec. 24, 1992) at Good Samaritan Hospital, Downers Grove, following a short illness. Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church, 40 N. Lincoln St, West-mont the Rev.

Preston Woods officiating. There will be a private burial. A memorial visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Monday at the church. Christian Funeral Services, 1131 Fairview Westmont, is in charge of arrangements.

Among her survivors is a sister, JoAnne Payne, Lexington. Mrs. Johnson was a secretary for the Villa Park Fire Department for eight years. Memorials may be made to York Township Food Pantry, 1502 S. Meyers Road, Lombard, 60148.

Joseph M. Krusz LINCOLN Joseph M. Krusz, 50, of Lincoln, died at 3:12 a.m. yesterday (Dec. 26, 1992) at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Death was from natural causes. His funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Family Church, Lincoln, the Rev. Norman Goodman officiating. Burial will be at St Mary's Cemetery, Lincoln.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Kerrigan Funeral Home, Lincoln, where the rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. He was born March 14, 1942, in Lincoln, the son of Harold and Norma Estes Krusz. He married Nancy Mathis Jan. 15, 1966, in Lincoln.

She survives. Also surviving are three sons, Michael, Caseyville; Mark, Decatur; and Mathew, Belleville; his mother, Lincoln; two brothers, Greg and Chris, both of Lincoln; two sisters, Mary Krusz, Lincoln, and Kathy Krusz, Springfield; and one granddaughter. His father and two brothers preceded him in death. Mr. Krusz was a carpenter for Myers Industries, Lincoln.

Henry H. Brittin CLINTON The funeral of Henry Harlow Brittin, 95, of Clin-, ton, a retired construction worker and farmer, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Herington-Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, Steven Evans officiating. Burial will be at Rucker Chapel Cemetery, LeRoy. Visitation will be one hour before the service.

Mr. Brittin died at 2:50 a.m. 1 Friday (Dec. 25, 1992) at Crestview Nursing Center, Clinton. He was born Feb.

14, 1897, in DeWitt County, the son of Newton and Belle Silvey Brittin. He mar-, ried Faye Moore in 1940, in Sterling. She died Feb. 15, 1958. He married Eva Patterson, who pre-.

ceded him in death. Surviving are one stepson, Henry Cotton, Kankakee; one stepdaugh- ter, Charlene Edwards, Blooming- ton; one sister, Helen Dunlap, LeRoy; and one stepgrandchild. Two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death. He was a member of Wapella Christian Church and was an Army veteran. Memorials may be made to the DeWitt County Friendship Center.

Beatrice K. Builta ELLSWORTH Beatrice K. Builta, 51, of Ellsworth died at 7:08 a.m. yesterday (Dec. 26, 1992) at St Joseph Medical Center, Blooming-ton.

She had been ill. Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, LeRoy, has charge of arrangements. Clarice M. Godby DELAVAN Clarice Marie Godby, 66, of 506 E. 10th St, Del-avan, died at 12:26 p.m.

Friday (Dec. 25, 1992) at 508 E. 10th St, Delavan. Tazewell County Coroner Robert Haller said Miss Godby was at her sister's home when she choked on food and died. Her funeral will be at 11 a.m.

Monday at Woolsey Funeral Home, Delavan, the Rev. Henry Miller officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Rest Cemetery, Delavan. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

She was born July 17, 1926, in Delavan, the daughter of Samuel and Myrtle Ranney Godby. Surviving are five sisters, Luella Creager and Gwendolyn Watts, both of Delavan; Myrtle Allen and Lucile Simpson, both of Pekin; and Alice Walsh, Bloomington; and one brother, Francis Godby, Tremont Four brothers and two sisters preceded her in death. She retired as Delavan city clerk after 20 years and was a member of Delavan Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to Delavan Ambulance Service or American Cancer Society. Anna Harms FORREST Anna Harms, 101, of Helen Lewis Smith Pavilion, Fairbury, formerly of Forrest, a homemaker with 122 living descendants, died at 5:25 a.m.

Donaldson died at 4:50 a.m. Thursday (Dec. 24, 1992) at BroMenn Regional Medical Center, Normal. She was born Feb. 20, 1927, in Albany, a daughter of William Porter and Ada Rachel Neathery Poison.

She married Dallas Donaldson Dec. 20, 1947, in Bloomington. He survives. Other survivors include one son, Steven, Glasford; two daughters, Judy Eckhoff, Gibson City, and Jan Brandt 1319 E. Grove St, Bloomington; six brothers, Jack Poison, LeRoy; Bill Poison, Glen Poison, Jerry Poison and Clifford Poison, all of Paxton; and Ted Poison, Mahomet; one sister, Alice Mur-phey, Farmer City; seven grandchildren; one great-grandson; and three stepgrandchildren.

One sister preceded her in death. Mrs. Donaldson was a Methodist She attended Caledonia Country Grade School, rural Bellflower, and graduated from Bellflower Township High School. Memorials may be made to Scott Health Center, Bloomington. The obituary Is being repeated to correct the spelling of her mother's middle name and to add step-grandchildren as survivors.

Wednesday (Dec. 23, 1992) at BroMenn Regional Medical Center, Normal. He was born Sept 7, 1910, in Bloomington, a son of Frank and Florence Holmes Hopkins. He married Wava Cruse in 1932. He later married Ann D.

Hauptman Todd on Nov. 5, 1949, In Bloomington. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Robert Hopkins, North Hollywood, and Richard Hopkins, Las Vegas, a stepson, David Todd, Benton, five daughters, Marilyn McCraney, Las Vegas, Judy Shannon, Heyworth; Robin Ash, Tacoma, Cheryl Staulcup, Winter Haven, and Dawn Williams, 902 N. Oak St, Bloomington; two brothers, Wendell, Chicago, and Floyd, Mauston, two sisters, Margorie Fask, Chicago, and Evelyn Richardson, 202 W.

Locust Bloomington; 20 grandchildren; and seven greatgrandchildren. A daughter and a grandson preceded him in death. Mr. Hopkins was an assembler for Eureka-Williams Bloomington, for 40 years and worked part time for Barker Oldsmobile-Cadillac, Bloomington. He was a member of the Bloomington Loyal Order of Moose Lodge, the Eagles Lodge and Machinist Lodge 1000.

Mr. Hopkins was an avid golfer. He was affiliated with the Presbyterian Church. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. This obituary is repeated to correct spellings of survivors' names.

Kevin at Providence Memorial Hospital, El Paso, Texas. He graduated from Methodist Medical Center School of Medical Technology, Peoria, and has a master's degree in health services administration from Sangamon State University, Springfield. He and his wife have two daughters. CPR courses St Joseph Medical Center will offer community CPR and CPR refresher courses in January at the St Joseph EMS Training Center. The medical center will offer a community CPR course from 6 to 10 p.m.

Jan. 12. Certified CPR instructors will teach basic techniques, including pediatric CPR, CPR' on adults and children with obstructed airways, adult single rescuer CPR and a heart saver lecture. The medical center will sponsor a community CPR refresher course from 7 to 9 p.m. Jan.

5. Certified CPR instructors will teach basic CPR techniques to those who have a recently expired CPR card. The cost for each course is $10, and those attending must preregis-ter and pre-pay. To register, call the EMS Department Christopher Tesch Winifred J. Fuess Winifred J.

Fuess. 92. of 8901 State University, Normal, in 1986 after completing a student internship with Dow Chemical He was employed by Rohm and Haas Co. in Spring House, before receiving a scholarship to study at the University of Michigan. He completed his requirements for his master of science degree in 1990.

His dissertation research involved the synthesis and characterization of new polymers (plastics). He is the author of five journal articles and plans a research career In the chemical industry. Bouck and his wife, Jill, reside in Jackson, Mich. Tamiami Trail East, Naples, formerly of 505 Adelaide St, Normal, died yesterday (Dec. 26, 1992) at Buena Vida Nursing Home, Naples.

A memorial service will be at a later date at Baldwinsville, N.Y. She will be cremated. There will be no visitation. Earl G. Hodges Funeral Chapel, Naples, is in charge of arrangements.

She was born July 25, 1900, in Baldwinsville, the daughter of Jesse W. and Florence Ransom Jones. She married Frederick W. Fuess Jr. in September 1926 in Baldwinsville.

He died Feb. 15, 1949. Surviving are two sons, Frederick W. Ill, Normal; and Robert Camillus, N.Y.; two daughters, Johanna F. Armstrong, Naples, and Katherine L.

Fuess-Wissler, San Luis Obispo, nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. One brother preceded her in death. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Normal. While living in Normal, she was a member of the Delores Kelly Sewing Circle of the church. A graduate of Syracuse University, she had a degree in library science.

MINONK Christopher William Tesch, 94, of Minonk, died at 1:10 a.m. yesterday (Dec. 26, 1992) at Lida Home, Minonk. His funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Folkers-Froelich Memorial Home, Minonk, the Rev.

Jerry Kaskela officiating. Burial will be at Minonk Township Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. He was born March 10, 1898, in Long Point, the son of Nicholas and Henrietta Prussner Tesch.

He married Anna Knack July 30, 1919. She died Nov. 29, 1962. He married Marie Budde March 1, 1963. She died in May 1973.

Surviving are one son, Fred, Washburn; one daughter, Rachel Thorpe, Minonk; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and two brothers, Bill, Camden, and Herman, Battle Creek, Mich. One son, seven brothers and five sisters preceded him in death. Mr. Tesch farmed in the Minonk and Dana area and had been employed by Caterpillar Tractor Co. in East Peoria.

He drove a school bus for Minonk High School and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Minonk. Memorials may be made to Lida Home, Minonk. MS AROUN Michael Patrick Michael William Patrick, 29, of Phoenix, formerly of Bloomington, died at 7 p.m. Thursday (Dec. 24, 1992) at Mesa, Lutheran Hospital.

He had been under a doctor's care. His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Wescott Funeral Home, Cottonwood, Ariz. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery, Clarkdale, Ariz. He was bom Sept 23, 1963, in Bloomington, a son of William and Madeline Van Hook Patrick.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, John Hendrickson, Cottonwood, his father, Phoenix, four brothers and one sister; Higher need constrains shelter's efforts PEORIA The Southside Mission is feeling the effects of. increased need this holiday season. Throughout the year, the mission has been forced to turn away the highest number of people in its history 700. By the end of, December, it is expected 800 homeless women and children will be denied assistance. The shelter's cafeteria was too small to accommodate the large turnout of holiday diners Friday, so some meals had to be delivered.
