Lavaun J. Baehler SAUNEMIN Lavaun J. Baehler, 90, a homemaker, formerly of rural Saunemin, died at 10:20 a.m. yesterday (Dec. 26, 1992) at Fairview Haven Nursing Home, Fairbury, where she I had been a resident since Oct.

10, 1983. Her funeral will be at noon Monday at Saunemin United Methodist Church, the Rev. Carol T. Groves officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Wing.

Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Harris-Martin-Burke Funeral Home, Cullom, is in charge of arrangements. She was born Nov. 16, 1902, in Bluffton, Ohio, the daughter of William and Elsie Sweet Garrett.

She married Walter Baehler in January 1930. He died March 2, 1962. Surviving are one son, LaVerne Groves, Sun City, four daughters, Zonia Adkins, Philadelphia; Bonnie Murphy, No. 2 Park Bloomington; Donna Conroy, Monmouth; and Carol Cantrall, Saunemin; one stepson, Gerald Baehler, Saunemin; two stepdaughters, Thelma Moore, Forrest, and Laura Mae Haag, Saunemin; 13 grandchildren; 12 stepgrandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 20 stepgreat-grandchildren. One son, two brothers and a sister preceded her in death.

She was educated in Bluffton, Ohio, schools. 15, 1958. He married Eva Patterson, who preceded him in death. Two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death. He was a member of Wapella Christian Church and was an Army veteran.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. She was born July 17, 1926, in Delavan, the daughter of Samuel and Myrtle Ranney Godby. Surviving are five sisters, Luella Creager and Gwendolyn Watts, both of Delavan; Myrtle Allen and Lucile Simpson, both of Pekin; and Alice Walsh, Bloomington; and one brother, Francis Godby, Tremont. Survivors include four daughters, Carolyn Boles, Chenoa; Olive Stephens, Fairbury; Verna Ripsch, Morris; and Mary Lou King, Gilman; six sons, Sam, Lexington; John and I Donald, both of Fairbury; Willis and Glenn, both of Pontiac; and Edwin, Forrest; one sister, Della Meiss, Fairbury; two brothers, Walter and Joe Metz, both of Fairbury; 38 grandchildren; 72 great-grandchildren; and two greatgreat-grandchildren. One son, three brothers, one sister and one grandchild preceded her in death. Mrs. Harms was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid Society of the church.

24, 1992) at Good Samaritan Hospital, Downers Grove, following a short illness. Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church, 40 N. Lincoln Westmont, the Rev. Preston Woods officiating.

Krusz LINCOLN Joseph M. Krusz, 50, of Lincoln, died at 3:12 a.m. yesterday (Dec. 26, 1992) at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital. Death was from natural causes.

His funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Family Church, Lincoln, the Rev. Norman Goodman officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Lincoln.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Kerrigan Funeral Home, Lincoln, where the rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. He was born March 14, 1942, in Lincoln, the son of Harold and Norma Estes Krusz. He married Nancy Mathis Jan. 15, 1966, in Lincoln.

She survives. Also surviving are three sons, Michael, Caseyville; Mark, Decatur; and Mathew, Belleville; his mother, Lincoln; two brothers, Greg and Chris, both of Lincoln; two sisters, Mary Krusz, Lincoln, and Kathy Krusz, Springfield; and one granddaughter. His father and two brothers preceded him in death. Mr. Krusz was a carpenter for Myers Industries, Lincoln.

Burial will be at Minonk Township Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. He was born March 10, 1898, in Long Point, the son of Nicholas and Henrietta Prussner Tesch. He married Anna Knack July 30, 1919.

She died Nov. 29, 1962. He married Marie Budde March 1, 1963. She died in May 1973. Surviving are one son, Fred, Washburn; one daughter, Rachel Thorpe, Minonk; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and two brothers, Bill, Camden, and Herman, Battle Creek, Mich.

One son, seven brothers and five sisters preceded him in death. Mr. Tesch farmed in 1 the Minonk and Dana area and had been employed by Caterpillar Tractor Co. in East Peoria. He drove a school bus for Minonk High School and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Minonk.

Mrs. Bacon was born July 25, 1905, at Mount Vernon, a daughter of Lawrence and Norma Frick. She married Russell D. Bacon, who died in 1948. Survivors include one daughter, Norma Jean Hart, Cape Coral, one son, Russell Ellisville, and five grandchildren.

Mrs. Bacon, who lived in Bloomington from the late 1930s until she moved to the St. Louis area, formerly was a secretary at Illinois State University, including the office of Thomas Metcalf School. She retired in 1981. She was a member of Second Presbyterian Church, Bloomington, for many years and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She married Dallas Donaldson Dec. 20, 1947, in Bloomington. He survives. Other survivors include one son, Steven, Glasford; two daughters, Judy Eckhoff, Gibson City, and Jan Brandt, 1319 E. Grove Bloomington; six brothers, Jack Polson, LeRoy; Bill Polson, Glen Polson, Jerry Polson and Clifford Polson, all of Paxton; and Ted Polson, Mahomet; one sister, Alice Murphey, Farmer City; seven grandchildren; one great-grandson; and three stepgrandchildren.

She was born July 25, 1900, in Baldwinsville, the daughter of Jesse W. and Florence Ransom Jones. She married Frederick W. Fuess Jr. in September 1926 in Baldwinsville.

He died Feb. 15, 1949. Surviving are two sons, Frederick W. III, Normal; and Robert Camillus, N.Y.; two daughters, Johanna F. Armstrong, Naples, and Katherine L.

FuessWissler, San Luis Obispo, nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. One brother preceded her in death. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Normal. While living in Normal, she was a member of the Delores Kelly Sewing Circle of the church. A graduate of Syracuse University, she had a degree in library science.

She married Helmuth Gantzkow in 1951 in Kankakee. He died Aug. 1, 1980. Surviving are one daughter, Ruth Sciutto, 1504 Clinton Bloomington; one brother, Charles Theivagt, Carrollton; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Five brothers, two sisters and one son preceded her in death.

She was a file clerk at Caterpillar Tractor Co. for 19 years. She was a member of Second Christian Church, Keystone Chapter Order of Eastern Star and a charter member of the Caterpillar Retirement Club. Traveling, drawing and painting were among her hobbies. Russell E. Hopkins Russell E. died at 3:45 Hopkins a.m. Wednesday (Dec. 23, 1992) at BroMenn Regional Medical Center, Normal.

He was born Sept. 7, 1910, in Bloomington, a son of Frank and Florence Holmes Hopkins. He married Wava Cruse in 1932. He later married Ann D. Hauptman Todd on Nov.

5, 1949, in Bloomington. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Robert Hopkins, North Hollywood, and Richard Hopkins, Las Vegas, a stepson, David Todd, Benton, five daughters, Marilyn McCraney, Las Vegas, Judy Shannon, Heyworth; Robin Ash, Tacoma, Cheryl Staulcup, Winter Haven, and Dawn Williams, 902 N. Oak Bloomington; two brothers, Wendell, Chicago, and Floyd, Mauston, two sisters, Margorie Fask, Chicago, and Evelyn Richardson, 202 W. Locust Bloomington; 20 grandchildren; and seven greatgrandchildren.

A daughter and a grandson preceded him in death. Mr. Hopkins was an assembler for Eureka-Williams Bloomington, for 40 years and worked part time for Barker OldsmobileCadillac, Bloomington. He was a member of the Bloomington Loyal Order of Moose Lodge, the Eagles Lodge and Machinist Lodge 1000. Mr.

Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery, Clarkdale, Ariz. He was born Sept. 23, 1963, in Bloomington, a son of William and Madeline Van Hook Patrick. She was a nurse's aide at Brokaw Hospital for many years and taught for a Lexington rural school. She attended Illinois State Normal University and Brown's Business College in Bloomington. He graduated from Methodist Medical Center School of Medical Technology, Peoria, and has a master's degree in health services administration from Sangamon State University, Springfield. He and his wife have two daughters. CPR courses St. Joseph Medical Center will offer community CPR and CPR refresher courses in January at the St. Joseph EMS Training Center.

The medical center will offer a community CPR course from 6 to 10 p.m. Jan. 12. Certified CPR instructors will teach basic techniques, including pediatric CPR, CPR' on adults and children with obstructed airways, adult single rescuer CPR and a heart saver lecture. The medical center will sponsor a community CPR refresher course from 7 to 9 p.m.

A AROUND US Higher need constrains shelter's efforts PEORIA The Southside Mission is feeling the effects of increased need this holiday season. Throughout the year, the mission has been forced to turn away the highest number of people in its history 700. By the end of December, it is expected 800 homeless women and children will be denied assistance.
