Good Neighbors: Both of my daughters are beginning second grade teachers and I'm sure this material would be useful to them. Jean H. Williams, R.R.

1, LeFevre Box 505, Gibson City, 111. 60936. Good Neighbors: I will be teaching a learning disabilities class at Sheridan School this year. This is my first year there and I will be teaching second grade students. Special education funding is not always too high and I would greatly appreciate the ditto material.

I could arrange to pick it up. I hope I'm not too late. Fran Longman, 704 Fairmont Drive. Apt. 4, Bloomington, 111., 663-6184 Good Neighbors: I am a nervous, anxious second grade teacher who would be delighted to accept any materials you may have available.

I am returning to full-time teaching this fall with a lot of apprehension, excitement and "no supplies," which is a bit scary. I would greatly appreciate anything you are willing to part with and I wish you luck in your new position. A fellow teacher, Jeanette Schmid, P.O. Box 90 204 W. 5th Gridley, telephone 747-2932, after Aug.

1. By ABIGAIL. VAN BUREN DEAR ABBY: This is going to be a "first" for you. Vera (not her real name) and I have been happily married for nearly two years. Vera is 24 and I'm 33, and we enjoy a healthy, normal sex life.

About six months ago she asked me if I would mind "paying her" every time she had sex with me. Now, don't get me wrong, Vera is a nice girl from off a farm, and really doesn't need the money because she works and so do I. She doesn't ask for much just a few dollars. She says it makes her feel like a "wicked" woman and that "turns her on," so I go along with her little game. I suppose I shouldn't complain because this hasn't hurt our sex relationship.

If anything, it's improved it. If I don't have the cash, she lets me charge it. She won't take a check. She wants to see the cash. Have you ever heard of anything like this before? Do you think Vera is bonkers? Or am for going along with it? CASH "CUSTOMER" IN CANADA DEAR ABBY: I should have listened to you! So many times a woman will see her best friend's husband with another woman, and she asks you if she should tell her friend, and you always say, "No!" Well, Abby, I saw my best friend's husband in a car with a girl.

My friend was having some minor prob-, lems with her marriage at the time, but my big mouth blew the whole thing sky-high! I wound up hurting her more than helping her, and I lost her as my friend. She has not spoken to me in over a year, and I miss her very much. I doubt if I will ever have a friend like her again. Please warn others to keep their mouths shut. SHOULD HAVE LISTENED DEAR SHOULD: Good people with the best of intentions often do more harm than bad people with evil intentions.

And then, of course, there are the gossip-mongers, busybodies, self-appointed protectors of "morality" and any number of nasty-minded folks who have so little joy in their own lives that they take pleasure in relaying painful news to others. 'If I had to err in such a situation, I'd opt for erring on the side of silence. someone who might have the same or similar model that I could copy their manual. I have tried Sears and they tell me I cannot purchase a manual as the machine is too old. G.S.
