Parking and handicapped parking will be available beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Dwight Dwight's Annual Chamber of Commerce Fourth of July Celebration features a new fireworks display on Saturday at the Oughton Athletic Field. Events begin Friday at Stevenson Pool with Superhero Bike Stuntshow and inline skaters performing at 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The Dwight Dolphins Swim Team will host Fun Nite games on the front lawn of the pool at 5 p.m. On Saturday, activities begin at 4 p.m., and a tractor pull is set for 6 to 7 p.m.

Several grandstand entertainers are slated, beginning at 5 p.m. with music followed by Heartland Dancers, lowering of the flag ceremony at 7:35 p.m. and fireworks display at dusk. Emington The 30th annual Emington Third of July Celebration will be Friday with festivities beginning at 4:40 p.m. with a kiddie tractor pull.

At 5 p.m., there will be a homemade pie contest at the Emington Church of Christ, and karaoke will be from 5 to 8:30 p.m. on the stage on Main Street. A parade will begin at 6:30 p.m. Following the parade, events will include children's games, bingo, roulette wheel and drawings with 117 prizes to give away. A chicken dinner will be held from 5 to 8 p.m.

at Jeff and Mary's Mainstream Lounge. The festivities will conclude with a street dance beginning at 9 p.m. featuring Hazzard County. Sibley Sibley will celebrate the Fourth of July with a day of activities, beginning with fishing derbies at 9 a.m. at the lake.

Other activities include: a fireman's water fight at 10 a.m. on Sciota Street; an antique car show; a 2 p.m. parade, beginning at the south end of Sciota Street, featuring the Gibson City-Melvin Sibley High School Marching Band and the Paxton-Buckley-Loda High School Marching Band; bingo; and kids games to be held in the Uptown Park area. There also will be raffles, food stands open by the pavilion by the lake, the music group Hot Sax, a clown and a fireworks display over the lake at dusk. The rain date for this year's event will be Sunday.

Chenoa This year's Independence Day festivities, with the theme, "Rockets Burst High on the Fourth of July," kicks off with a street dance at 5 p.m. Friday. On Saturday, the day begins with a co-ed Softball tournament at 9 a.m. at the city park. A flea market will begin at 7 a.m., followed by live entertainment, games and tours.

The activities conclude with fireworks at dusk, with a special lead-in performance by Shotgun Wedding. On Sunday, activities also begin at 7 a.m. with the Veterans of Foreign Wars flea market. The Firecracker Auto Road Rally begins at 12:30 p.m. in the west pavilion of the city park.

TREMONT Health department to recycle crayons The Tazewell County Health Department is sponsoring a crayon recycling program at libraries in East Peoria, Pekin, Marquette Heights. Creve Coeur, Morton and Washington. Unwanted crayons of any size or brand may be dropped off between 9 and 11 a.m. July 10, 24 and 31, Aug. 14, 21 and 28; or from 4 to 7 p.m.
