The build-t ing will accommodate 170 em-l ployees with room for expansion. Randy Hoffman, Personal- Care chief executive officer, 7 said the new headquarters "will help PersonalCare be even more responsive and effi-r cient in providing service to our members and physicians. Our old space was rearranged haphazardly as the company grew." PersonalCare was founded by Christie Clinic physicians in 1984.

The company is owned The Home Sweet Home Mission with the help of some 75 volunteers cooked, packaged and delivered around 300 meals to the elderly and shut-in individuals on Thanksgiving, said Al McLaughlin, programs coordinator of the mission. Home Sweet Home Mission is a Christian nonprofit organization in Bloomington that helps homeless and low-income families. The mission provides more than 45,000 meals and nearly 20,000 nights of shelter each year. McLean County 4-H members receive state, national awards -l- CNF i -f -y Time Location 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

His 4-H career has included photography, aerospace, bicycle safety, citizenship, leadership and visual arts projects. His active participation in the 4-H program has landed him many honors and awards. Lloyd has been awarded the Illinois State 4-H Valerie Jurgens Winner and Blue Award in the area of Aerospace, "I Dare You" award, Key Award, and has been a state nominee in aerospace and photography.

Vercler is the daughter of Tim and Sonia Vercler of Lexington. She is a freshman at Illinois State University in Normal with a planned major of public relations. Vercler has spent her 4-H career as a member of the Chenoa Space Age Pioneers 4-H Club. Her 4-H career has included foods, flower arranging, child care, Read-A-Book, home furnishings, public presentation, dog obedience and leadership projects. She has been honored by being a team member on the National 4-H Congress Design Team, awarded a trip to National 4-H Congress because she was an Illinois State Award Winner.

She has been a State Blue Award Winner in Foods and Achievement and County Blue Award and Medal winner in the areas of personal development, achievement and foods. Valerie Jurgens, Daniel Lloyd and Laura Vercler captured Mosbacher Scholarships.

Others were recognized for winning state project awards and the right to attend the 1998 Youth Issues Congress in Atlanta, Ga. Mosbacher scholarships Jurgens is the daughter of Richard and Barbara Jurgens of Towanda. She is a freshman at the University of Illinois in Cham-paign-Urbana with a planned study in the area of biology. Jurgens has spent her 4-H career as a member of the Towanda Busy Bees and the Stylistics 4-H Clubs. Her 4-H career has included projects such as clothing, food, veterinary science, gardening, visual arts and child care.

She has been the Top 10 junior senior model, top McLean County food demonstrator and is the 19981999 McLean County Fair Queen. She has been awarded the "I Dare You" award, County Excellence and County Blue awards, received County Medals and been a state nominee in the areas of home and family; food, nutrition and health and achievement. Lloyd is the son of Randall and Diane Lloyd of Normal. He is a freshman at Millikin University in Decatur with a planned major in the area of computer graphics, graphic design. Lloyd has spent his 4-H career as a member of the Greenleafers 4-H David Laura Lloyd Vercler ed the "I Dare You" award and has been the top food demonstrator.

State Awards Four McLean County 4-H members have been named Illinois 4-H winners for 1998. This honor is one of the highest in the 4-H program. One 4-H'er is selected in each project area to be named a state winner, earning the right to attend National 4-H Congress. Seth Broadfield, Rachel Crider, Angela Nelden and Diana Vercler are the winners selected from McLean County. These winners will attend the 1998 Youth Issues Congress in Atlanta, Georgia, from Nov.

27 to Dec. 1. Broadfield is the son of Russell and Betty Broadfield of McLean, and is a state winner in the area of animal science. As both president and member of the Hobby Horse 4-H Club, Broadfield has been very active during his 4-H career having received the "I Dare You" award for outstanding leadership as well as the Illinois Blue Award. His animal science projects have Angela Nelden Diana Vercler well as an Illinois Blue Award winner.

She has been very active in the personal development areas of photography, Read-A-Book, visual arts and communications. She has been a member of the McLean County 4-H Photo Corps serving as a county fair photographer, and also assists with her school newspaper and yearbook. Vercler, daughter of Tim and Sonia Vercler of Lexington, has achieved the honor of state winner in the area of personal development and is an Illinois Blue Award winner. She is a member of the Space Age Pioneers 4-H Club. Vercler has used her visual arts projects to provide community service by decorating pumpkins and tea carts and writing Valentine party invitations for a local nursing home.

She has shown leadership through teaching workshops to younger 4-H members and Cloverbud members. She is also a member of the McLean County 4-H Photo Corps, placing third in a National Kodak Competition. Illinois Blue Awards Five McLean County 4-H'ers were named Illinois Blue Award winners. Blue Awards are present-" ed to those 4-H'ers who fall in the' top 10 percent of those who submit-' ted records for state competition. In addition to those already mentioned, Jay Scholl, son of Jon and Joyce Scholl, is a member of the Ellsworth Tip Toppers 4-H Club, where he held offices such as presi-3 dent, vice president and treasurer. Sarah Stenger, daughter of ii Steve and Deborah Stenger, is a member of the Downs Top Notch-ers 4-H Club. Sarah has held offices including meeting secretary, treasurer, junior leader and president. Wayne Whitehouse, son of Bil! and Michelle Whitehouse of Ar- rowsmith, is a member of the Over The Top 4-H Club. He has achieved such leadership roles including re-jc porter, secretary, vice president of his club.

Crider is the daughter of Daniel and Anne Crider of Arrowsmith, and is a member of the Pride of Sabina and Stylistics 4-H Clubs. She is a state winner in the area of animal science and an Illinois Blue Award winner. During her 4-H career, Crider has achieved recognition with livestock such as sheep, hogs and steers.

She has learned how to block wool, breed sheep for show, observe wool pricing characteristics, read ear notches for hogs, prepare hogs for show and groom and show steers. Rachel has offered an informational stop in the sheep and beef barns during county fair tours. She also did a presentation on lamb and wool to a Chicago fourth grade.
