He has been student of the quarter and year, homecoming king, is in the student council and Career Connections student conference council. James will attend Heartland Community College taking classes in computer networking and computer science. He is the first high school student that has worked in State Farm's electronic Achievers istrative office technology student of the year and student of the quarter. Nicole is currently working at State Farm.

Evan attends BHS and is the son of Mike and Patti Geske of Bloomington. He has partici 1l and Kathy McBurney of Bloomington, is a student at BHS. Her activities include Make-A-Wish Playhouse project, fall rally, and 30 Years of AVC Banquet. She is in the National Honor Society and is an Illinois State Scholar. Jennifer plans on attending the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and majoring in architecture.

Youth Action Board Area teachers and principals have suggested the following individuals to represent their schools on Normal's Youth Action Board: Sarah Donnelly, Nick Berta, Becky Skaggs. Kelly Adams, and Caitlin Fry. Sarah is a sixth grader at Epiphany Catholic Grade School where she participates in chorus, softball, basketball, and Central Catholic High School musicals. She is a straight student. mal Community West High; School where he is in the top 10 of his class.

His principal de-'; scribes him as "highly involved, excellent student, personable, re-sponsible and dependable. Becky attends University High School where she is a sophomore. She is involved in student coun- cil, key club, band and athletics. Becky works at the Normal Public i Library and is involved in her church. Kelly is a sophomore from CCHS.

She participates in CAP-J TAINS, softball and Her principal describes her as someone who "accepts responsi- bility and contributes to help make her school better." A sophomore, Caitlin attends -Normal Community High School, i She is involved in athletics, musi- cal production and school organi-: zations. Caitlin volunteers as a candy striper and is an active member of her church. Jennifer McBurney pated in jazz band, National Vocational Tech support unit. Nicole, daughter of John and Donna Deterts of Bloomington, attends Bloomington High School. She participates in volleyball, student advisory board, and National Vocational Technical Honor Society.

Ryan is working on becoming a certified culinarian and is employed at Ned Kelly's Steakhouse.

He plans on attending the Culinary Institute of America. Nicole Deterts Evan Geske Jennifer, daughter of Harry Nick is a sophomore from Nor- FFA Scholarship Katy Merna, a senior at Tri-Valley High School was awarded the Tri-Valley Alumni Scholarship Award at the annual Tri-Valley High School FFA Banquet May 11. She also was awarded the DeKalb Genetics Accomplishment Award. Katy has been involved in the Tri-Valley FFA Program for four years. She will be attending the University of Illinois in Cham-paignUrbana in the fall.

She is the daughter of Maureen Roach and Mike Merna and lives in Downs with Mr. Mrs. Neal Roach. TEAM TV Awards Kristin Cielocha, daughter of Steve and Lucy Cielocha of Bloom-ington, was selected as Student of the Month for April for outstanding achievement and excellence in English at Tri-Valley High School. She was selected by the high school English faculty.

Melissa Finch, daughter of Jim and Cathy Finch of Bloomington was selected as Student of the Month for April for outstanding achievement and excellence for citizenship at Tri-Valley Middle School.
