She married Rich Farrens, her husband for 35 years. He survives. Other survivors include two sons, Steven (Jacklyn) Farrens and Cory Farrens, both of Greenfield, Ohio; two grandsons, Colin and Nicholas Farrens; her parents, Lloyd and Lorraine DeGiovanni of Roanoke; and two sisters, Debra Flynn of Roanoke and Patricia Robison of Eureka. She was preceded in death by her brother, Tim DeGiovanni, in 1980. Cheryl and her husband owned and operated Vermeer dealerships in Washington Court House, Ohio; Elizabethtown, Ky; and Charleston, W.Va.

"Ed" Kammermann, 76, of Pontiac died at 3:50 p.m. Friday (March 31, 2006) at Asta Care Center, Pontiac. His funeral will 1 be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Martin-Burke Funeral Home, Pontiac, the Rev. Phillip Icenogle of the First United Methodist Church in Pontiac and the Rev.

Harry Def- fley officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Forrest Township Cemetery, Forrest. In lieu of Clarence Kammermann flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or the First United Methodist Church.

Ed was born on Aug. 14, 1929, in Forrest, a son of the late Edward and Olepha V. Eames Kammermann. He married Delores Wiechman on Dec. 5, 1954, in Pontiac.

Surviving are his wife; one son, Edward (Linda) Kammermann of Pontiac; four daughters, AdaLee Potts of Pontiac; Colleen (Charles) Molton of Pontiac; Donna Kammermann of Pontiac; and Rebecca Kammermann of Cullom; six grandchildren, Laura and Clifton Potts, Patrick Molton, Ryne and Samantha Holzhauer, and Wendy Rutherford; two greatgrandchildren; one brother, H. Robert "Bob" Kammermann of Peoria, two sisters, Lorraine Kammermann and Rosalind (Charles) Parsons, both of Pontiac; one half sister, Marguerite Mock of Flanagan; and one sister-in-law, Gert Kammermann of Willisville. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, John Kammermann; and two half brothers. Mr. Kammermann graduated from Saybrook High School i in Saybrook.

He retired after 28 years from the Pontiac Chair Factory, where he had been a foreman. He had been working part time for the Livingston County assessor's office. Monday at Duffy Memorial Home, Chenoa, and an hour before the service Tuesday at the church. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Village Grove Cemetery, Villa Grove. She was born Nov. 26, 1913, in Villa Grove, the daughter of John and Mary Benjamin Kendall.

She married Robert James Walker on Aug. 19, 1938, in Villa Grove. He died March 16, 1986. Surviving are one son, Kendall Mark (Brenda) Walker, Altamount; three grandchildren, Annette (John) Christerson, Brad (Tammy) Walker and Angela Walker; two greatgrandchildren, Brittni and Brenna York; and one brother, John Kendall, Decatur. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Estel, Hillis and Gaylen Kendall.

Mrs. Walker was a graduate of Illinois State University and was a primary school teacher in Village Grove and Chenoa. She was a member of the Chenoa United Methodist Church since 1938 and a charter member of the Chenoa Woman's Club. She also was a longtime member of the Arts and Travel Club of Chenoa and was a Cub Scout leader and den mother. Memorials may be made to Chenoa United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two nieces, Elizabeth (Jeff) Myatt, Riverside, and Mary Ondeck, Hudson; one nephew, James Ondeck, Hudson; one great-niece, Genevieve Myatt; two greatnephews, Mark Myatt and Vincent Myatt; and one brother-inlaw, Elmer Ondeck, Meadows. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred Ondeck and Hannah Killian, and one brother, William Killian. Frances graduated from elementary school in rural McLean County and from Normal Community High School.

She received her bachelor's degree in education from Illinois State Normal University and her master's degree, majoring in classics, from the University of Illinois. She attended Chicago Teachers College, the University of Chicago and Northwestern University. She taught Latin and English for 14 years in Illinois high schools, including Shipman High School, Dana Township High School, Ohio Community High School and Proviso Township High School in Maywood. She also taught for the Chicago Board of Education for 26 years. Frances retired in 1971 from Kelvyn Park High School, where she was a Latin teacher and a counselor.

She was a member of the Half Century Club at Illinois State University, the University of Illinois Alumni Association, the Chicago Classical Club, Retired Teachers Association of Chicago, the Ladies Guild of St. Luke Parish in River Forest and the Classical Association of Middle West and South. Monday at Calvert Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington. Mrs. Hirsch was born June 29, 1919, at Marion, a daughter of Erville and Lila (May) Whittenberg. She married Joseph S. Hirsch on Dec.

Surviving are twin daughters, Sherilyn Thomas, Tulsa, and Carolyn Neuendank, St. Louis; a grandson, Ty James (Deanna) Thomas, Blooming; ton; and two great-grandchildren, Marissa and Zach Thomas. Her parents and a son, Ronald Hirsch, preceded her in death.

He was born July 27, 1933, in Bethany, the son of Herbert and Katherine Landsen Majors. He married Coleen Hede on June 30, 1956, in East Peoria. Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Sandi (Charlie) Meurer of Bettendorf, Iowa, and Cindy Majors of Normal; two grandchildren, Holly Meurer and Karl Meurer, both of Bettendorf; and one Howard sister, Kathy (Paul) Compton Majors of Shelbyville. MORTON Howard A. "Howie" Majors, 72, of 104 Howard Majors He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

He graduated in 1951 from Bethany High School, where he lettered in sports 15 out of a possible 16 times during his high school athletic career. He was a Korean War Army veteran. Howard worked for 36 years at Caterpillar retiring in 1987 as a fire captain in the Security Department in East Peoria. He was a member of American Legion Post 318 in Morton, AMVETS Post 64 in Peoria and the Caterpillar Retirees Club. He played fast-pitch softball for 33 years for various local teams and also played in the Caterpillar Basketball League for 23 years from 1951 to 1974.

His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home in Morton, the Rev. Gary Salm officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home and one hour before the service Tuesday.

Military folding of the flag will be conducted by his Legion post immediately following the service. Cremation will then be accorded. Ron served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He was a painting contractor and owned and operated Ron's Painting in Bloomington for 23 years. He had a strong character and was very proud that he was a "selfmade man." Ron was a loving and beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend and will be dearly missed. Virginia Stevenson NORMAL Virginia B. Stevenson, 89, of 509 N. Adelaide Normal, and formerly of 1317 E. Vernon Normal, died at 9:50 p.m. Friday (March 31, 2006) at Heritage Manor, Normal.

She married Arthur B. Stevenson on July 4, 1940, in Tampa, Fla. He died Jan. 1, 1994. Virginia is survived by two daughters, Patricia Lyn (Harry Baker) Anderson of Algonquin, and Gaye E.

(Glenn) Bailey of Normal; three granddaughters, Debra (Charlie) Anderson, Sara (Michael) Weber Kreps and Ashley Weber; and one greatgrandson, Jacob Kreps. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter and four brothers. She was a resident of Bloomington-Normal for 60 years. She was a retired clerk at Sears and had taught fifth grade at a school in Tampa, prior to her marriage. She graduated from Florida State College for Women in 1938 and was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority and the Daughsis Club.
