Bagby 62, Nashville, formerly of Chenoa, died Saturday (Nov. 14, 2009) after a two- year battle with cancer. 3, 1947, in Bloomington, the son of the Donald E. Bagby Sr. and Shirley J. Bagby of Marquette Heights and Chenoa. He is survived by his wife, Dawn Morgan Bagby, Nashville, daughters, Kim (Brad) Cordts, Pekin; Amie Amat, Bloomington; and Erin Bagby, Normal; grandchildren, Lindsi, Lexi, Cameron, Blake, Kyle, Conner and Lauren; brothers, Mike (Jane) Bagby, East Moline; Gary (Martha) Bagby, Tustin, Tom (Sue) Bagby, Marquette Heights; Jim (Donna) Bagby, Chenoa; and Bill (Audrey) Bagby, Bloomington; nieces; nephews; cousins; and inlaws.

Banister, 71, Morton, died at 5:15 p.m. Sunday (Nov. 8, 2009) in Marietta, as the result of a car ac- cident. His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Morton Christian Dale Church, with the Banister Rev Dale Banister Charles Ferguson officiating.

Private family burial will take place at a later date. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home, Morton. Knoxville Peoria, IL 61614; or to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Greater Illinois Chapter, 525 W. Monroe Chicago, IL 60661. He was born Nov. 15, 1937, in Greenview, son of John Albert and Lucy Mason Banister. He married Mildred "Millie" Gardner on May 15, 1970, in Peoria.

Surviving are his wife, Millie Banister, Morton; two sons, Robert (Nancy) Banister, Bloomington, and Raymond (Fay) Banister, Normal; one daughter, Jackie (Michael) Crank, Atlanta; 13 grandchildren; seven greatgrandchildren; three stepsons, David (Susan) Klasing, Hanna City; Robert (Carol) Klasing, Lafayette, and Gary Klasing, East Peoria; one stepdaughter, LouAnn (Larry) Moss, Pensacola, two brothers, Donald (Frances) Banister and John (Diane) Banister, both of Springfield; and two sisters, Doris (Charles) Markwardt, Lincoln, and Beverly (Duane) Boyer, Elkhart. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Norman. He was an Army veteran, serving from December 1957 to December 1959, and during the Cuban crisis from August 1961 to September 1962, attaining the rank of specialist fifth class. Dale retired as a tower control operator from Caterpillar Inc. in 1992, after 42 years of service.

Dale was an avid Cubs fan, loved going to a game every year with his sons and going to the Peoria Chiefs baseball games with his family. He enjoyed 35 wonderful years of square dancing with his wife, Millie.

17, 2009) at her residence in Chenoa. Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Chenoa United Methodist Church, with Pastor Robb McCoy and Father Carl LoPresti officiating. Mabel Cottrell Burial will follow in Chenoa Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m.

today at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa. Mabel was born Feb. 9, 1916, in Campbellsville, the daughter of William a and Florence Tandy Colvin. She married Eugene Clair Cottrell on Jan. 12, 1935, in Kankakee.

He passed away May 23, 1982. Survivors include four children, James (Martha) Cottrell, Fairbury; Ann Black, Pontiac; and Larry (Doris) Cottrell and Sharon (Ray) Hoselton, both of Chenoa; one sister, Judy Martin, Colfax; three brothers, Lindy (Shirley) Colvin, Cardwell, Olin (Nancy) Colvin, Greenville, S.C.; and Bill Colvin Gridley; sister in-law, Alice Colvin, Chenoa; 10 grandchildren; 21 great -grandchildren; six stepgreat -grandchildren; three stepgreat -greatgrandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, five sisters and one son in-law, Ronald Black. The family suggests that memorials be directed to OSF Hospice of Livingston County or Chenoa United Methodist Church. Mabel was a member of the Chenoa United Methodist Church, Chenoa Women's Club, "Bill's Band," United Methodist Women's group and Pontiac Moose Ladies Auxiliary.

She worked in the cafeteria of the Chenoa school district for 39 years and also was an Avon consultant for many years. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and canning. Family came first to Mabel. She cherished the time she could spend with her children and grandchildren. She was always giving of herself and enjoyed cooking for anyone who walked through her front door.

17, 2009) at Heritage Manor South, Beardstown. Cremation has been accorded. A Masonic service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Davis Mortuary, Hopedale, followed by a memorial service. Burial with military honors will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Tremont.

There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. He was born May 18, 1926, in Spring Lake Township near Manito, son of Addison and Elsie Estella Humphrey Dailey. He married Betty Lou Hatton on May 12, 1952. She preceded him in death in November 1965.

He then married Lavina Mae Kays in June 1968. She preceded him in death May 14, 1998. He was also preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Harold, Clyde, Lawrance and Russell; and sisters, Jessie Davis, Helen and Louise Litwiller. Surviving are two daughters, Susan (Ron) Dunnill, Kankakee, and Chantel Dailey, Rushville; one son, Tim Dailey, Pleasant View; five stepsons, Willie, Harold Lee, Greg, Tony and Joseph Kays; four grandchildren; and five great -grandchildren. Upon high school graduation from Hopedale High School, he joined the U.S.

Army. He spent time in the building trades before becoming a USDA meat inspector in 1958. He worked in meat processing plants in Davenport, Iowa; Milan and Beardstown, before becoming relief inspector for the state of Illinois. He was a Mason and Shriner. He was also active in the VFW and American Legion.

Douglas Rathbun WASHINGTON Douglas Dale Rathbun, 57, Washington, passed away Tuesday (Nov. 17, 2009) at Communities of Maple Lawn in Eureka. He was surrounded by family during his jourDouglas ney to a Rathbun better place.

He first married Lori Mae Hyten. They later divorced. Doug then married Janice Catherine Eckert on Friday, Aug. 13, 2004, in Groveland. She survives.

Also surviving are his daughter, Danielle K. Rathbun, Bloomington; his stepchildren, Cindy Rich Penrose, Richard Rich and Bobby Eckert, all of Washington; his brother, John Richard "Dick" (Nancy) Jones, El Paso; his sisters, Doris (Wayne) Eymann, Chenoa; Jo Ann (Gene) Smith, Peoria; Robbie (John, deceased) Byrd, El Paso; and Debbie (Keith) McClure, Carlock; his nephews, Richie (Brandie), JT (Holly), Toby (Piper), Rodd (Cindy) and BJ (Lenise); his nieces, Josey (Dillon), Tiffani (Ben), Kelli and Traci; one stepniece, Brynn; and three stepgrandchildren. Doug was made a great- -uncle 16 times. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Lois Boulware. He was raised in El Paso and attended school in El Paso, where he graduated in 1970.

Doug is a graduate of Penn State University where he earned a degree, in He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Being stationed on an aircraft carrier, he saw a lot of the world. Doug was employed at Pine Lakes Golf Club in Washington, where he was superintendent for more than 30 years. He will be missed by his and Janice's two loving dachshunds, Milton and Annie, who are well known at the golf course.

Doug enjoyed snowmobiling, golfing and bowling. He was an avid sports fan. He later simply enjoyed being a homeowner and relaxing. Doug touched many lives during his years through golfers and employees, especially the employee he married! He was a devoted husband, father and employee. She was preceded in death by her father and one brother. Deborah was an Elvis fan and loved collecting Elvis memorabilia.

She loved children and babysitting. The last child she watched was Jordon Edward Brant- Deborah was a loving wife and sister and will be dearly missed by her husband, family and friends. ELSEWHERE Eunice Gudeman PEORIA Eunice Gudeman, 101, of 200 E. Frye Peoria, died there at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday (Nov.

17, 2009). She was born Feb. 8, 1908, in Remington, a daughter of Henry and Fredricka Peters Beckley. She married Phil Gudeman in March 1937. He died in 1989.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, four sisters and two stepsisters. Eunice is survived by one son, Richard (Janice), Salem, formerly of Bloomington; four granddaughters, Suzanne (Renaud), San Diego, Julie (Casey), Morton; Myra, Seattle, and Renee, Chicago; and four great -grandchildren. Also left behind are two loving caretakers, Anna and Elsie Glueck. She was a member of the German Apostolic Christian Church. Knapp Johnson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Also preceding her in death were her parents; one son, Kim; and one brother, Russell Johnson. She is survived by two daughters, Melody (Don) Bearden, Salem, and Lanae (Jack) Hall, Blacksburg, seven grandchildren; 11 great -grandchildren; and one brother, Ray W. Johnson, Pekin. Elnor was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Pekin, where she was a past choir member, Sunday school teacher and past president of the JOY Circle.

She will be remembered as a loving mother with a strong spirit, perseverance and devotion to her husband.
