Neil HARTSBURG Irma Louise Baker Neil, 90, Jacksonville, passed away peacefully in her sleep Jan. 14,2011. Her funeral service was accorded by Greenlawn Funeral Home, Jack sonville, Irma Fla. Neil Mrs. Neil was born Feb.

6, 1920, in Hartsburg. She lived in Jacksonville, Fla. since 1954. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Bill B.

Neil, and her sisters, Dorothy Hildebrand, Ruth Gehlbach, Louella Kagel and Esther Lolling, all of Illinois. Her brother, Wilbur Baker, died Friday (Jan. 21, 2011). Survivors include her children, Randy (Kathy) Neil, Chapin, S.C.; and Judy (Billy) Doyle and Patty (Greg) Toole, Jacksonville, nine grandchildren, Bryan Neil, Corey (April) Neil, Bart Chandler, Dr. Holly (Trey) Chandler Hodges, Doug (Angie) Doyle, Mathew (Erin) Doyle, Bradley Doyle, Michael Doyle and Scott (Melanie) Toole; nine greatgrandchildren, Ainsley, Carter and Meredith Neil; Claire and Lindsay Hodges; and Jackson, Avery, Colin and Peyton Doyle; and one cousin, Charlie Anderson, both of Lincoln; and numerous nieces, nephews and BLOOMINGTONNORMAL Charles Cowdrey BLOOMINGTON Charles E.

Cowdrey, 77, passed away Tuesday (Jan. 18, 2011) at his home in Winfield, with his wife, Nancy, and family by his side. A memorial celebration will be at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 5 at First United Methodist Church in Winfield, Kan.

Following the service, there will be a reception for friends and family at Fellowship Hall at the church. Charlie was born on Nov. 16, 1933, in Camden Point, Mo. His parents were Charles and Muriel Duncan Cowdrey. DeSanty on Nov. 19, 1976, in Dayton, Ohio. He survives. She is also survived by a son, David (Melissa) DeSanty, Bloomington; one granddaughter, Addison DeSanty; two brothers, Phil (Judith) Mathes and Pat (Dee) Mathes; and two sisters, Mary (Tom) Showers and Julie (Bill) Fink. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Susan was a secretary in Property and Casualty Claims at State Farm Insurance Cos. in Bloomington. Dorothy Forbes NORMAL Dorothy E. Forbes, 85, Woodstock, formerly of Normal, passed away at 1:50 p.m. on Thursday (Jan.

20, 2011) in Woodstock. A graveside service Dorothy will be at 2 Forbes p.m. Tuesday at East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington. The Rev. John McIntosh will officiate.

There will be no visitation. Kibler- Smith Memorial Home, Bloomington, is handing arrangements for the family. Memorial contributions in Dorothy's name may be made to the Shriner's Hospital. Dorothy Ellen Bartram Forbes was born on Aug. 8, 1925, in Buckingham, a daughter of Thomas A.

Jr. and Lois Lillian Swope Bartram. She married Robert Durward Forbes on Jan. 5, 1947, in Bloomington. He died in May 1995.

She is survived by one daughter, Cinda K. Cannon, Pembroke Pines, one son, Ronald L. (Anita) Forbes, Woodstock; five grandchildren; and two great -grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, one who was her twin. She attended the Gradwohl School of Medical Technology in St.

Louis, and Illinois State Normal University. She worked as a medical tech for Dr. Ben Markowitz, Dr. Ray Doud, St. Joseph Medical Center and Brokaw Hospital.

She also worked for the county clerk's office for more than 23 years. In 1950, Dorothy and Robert opened Forbes Sound Services which they operated for 38 years in Normal. She was past president of both the Bloomingtonmal Junior Women's Club and Women's Club. She was past sorority president of the Tau Epsilon Delta and former secretary of the Normal Policeman's Pension Fund. She served on the board for Victory Hall for four years.

She was a licensed medical technician and licensed private pilot. She enjoyed golfing, fishing and flying their own plane. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Normal. Online condolences may be made to the family at kiblersmith.com. Phillip Jordan NORMAL Phillip D.

Phil was born April 10, 1936, in Bellflower, the son of Delmar W. and Vivian T. McConkey Jordan. He Phillip Phillip married Jordan Karen Walters on May 6, 1988, in Louisville, Ky. She survives.

Also surviving are his children, Cindy (Bill) Gibson, Shirley; and Doug (Angie) Kaufman and Lori Spann, both of Normal; eight grandchildren, Tyler, Kacie, Andrea, Dustin, Kris, Michael, Morgan and Megan; five great -grandchildren, Hailey, Cody, Devin, Douglas and Silas; a brother, Ted (Donna Mae) Jordan, Bloomington; and a sister, Donna (Gary) Chandler, Petersburg. He also leaves behind his dog, Riley. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Carmen. Phil graduated from University High School and was a 30-year veteran of the U.S. Army Reserve.

He owned and operated the Texaco and Marathon service station on South Main Street in Normal for 43 years. He was a past member of the Bloomington-Normal Jaycees. Phil enjoyed traveling, deer hunting, bowling and watching sports, war movies and the History Channel on television. He took great delight in spending time with his grandchildren and great -grandchildren, all of whom will miss him dearly. Phil and Karen very much enjoyed the life they shared together.

Kriechbaum Kathryn Kriechbaum BLOOMINGTON Kathryn L. Kriechbaum, 97, Bloomington, died at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday (Jan.

She married Philip Kriechbaum on June 10, 1939, in Chicago. He died March 28, 1972.

Surviving are a daughter, Laurel (James) Finegan, Bloomington; two sons, Charles (Anne) Kriechbaum, Phoenix, and Gordon (Lois) Kriechbaum, Huntley; 12 grandchildren, Jennifer (Brian) Bates; James, Phil, Rob and Sue Finegan; Edith (Conrad) Montoya; Donna (Bill) Klostermann; Caryn (Mike) Gallego; J.R. Kriechbaum; Michael (Amanda) Kriechbaum; Dory (Tim) McCuen; and Sandy (Mike) Springer; and 12 great- She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers. Kathryn was employed in customer service by Eastman Kodak for 10 years and also by Marshall Field for 10 years. She was a past member of St. Rita Catholic Church, Chicago.

Roger McCannon Roger McCannon BLOOMINGTON Roger Perry McCannon, 58, Bloomington, died at 8:45 a.m. Thursday (Jan. 20, 2011) at his home. A private family funeral was held at CarmodyFlynn Williamsburg Fu- Roger ner al McCannon Home, Bloomington. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the McCannon family.

Roger was born Oct. 20, 1952, in Bloomington, the son of Dean and Mabel Perry McCannon. He married Roxanne Roberts on Oct. 16, 1981, in Springfield. She survives.

Also surviving are a daughter, Janelle (Greg) Louck, Bloomington; two granddaughters, Emma -Yokel and Lauren Louck; a sister, Betti McCannon, Normal; two brothers, Kenny McCannon, Peoria, and Donald (Rita) McCannon, St. Joseph; his motherin-law, Edith Lucille Roberts, Downs; a sister-inlaw, Bonnie (Rich) Lamberth, Humble, Texas; four brothers-in-law, Randall Roberts, Robin (Cindy) Roberts and Rick (Nancy) Roberts, all of Bloomington; and Ryan (Judy) Roberts, Downs; several nieces and nephews; and a special dog, Sophie. He was preceded in death by his parents. Roger graduated from Illinois State University with a bachelor's degree in agriculture and was a longtime farmer. He also was employed in real -estate development and oversaw the development of the Old Town Timber subdivision.

Roger loved Disney World, fishing and antiques. He was always helping other people without regard to himself. Roger was a wonderful husband, dad and grandfather. He doted on his granddaughters, Emma and Lauren, who affectionately referred to him as "Tampie" and "Happy!" He and the girls were planning one of many trips to Disney World. Roger was dearly loved and will be missed.

Julia Rumery BLOOMINGTON Julia "Judy" Rumery, 82, Minden, formerly of Bloomington passed away Jan. 14, 2011, at the Bethany Home in Minden. Her memorial service will be at 2:30 a.m. Friday at the Bethany Home Chapel, Minden, with the Rev. Donald Hunzeker officiating.

Burial will be at a later date. There will be no visitation. LaytonCraig Funeral Home, Minden, is in charge of arrangements. Memorials are suggested to the Nature Conservancy at 1007 Leavenworth Omaha, NE 68102. Memorial funds will be used to benefit the efforts of the Aurora office of the Nature Conservancy.

Judy was born Aug. 25, 1928, in Mount Vernon, daughter of Raymond and Fern Baker Rutherford. She was a graduate of the University of Nebraska at Omaha with a bachelor's degree in journalism. On May 22, 1951, she married Robert "Bob" Rumery. They moved to San Antonio, Texas, were Bob was stationed.

They moved to New Orleans, after Bob was discharged and lived in Atlanta, Nashville, and Champaign, before settling in Bloomington-Normal in 1965. After settling in Bloomington-Normal, Bob was a professor at Illinois State University and Judy worked with public relations for the Girl Scout council. Both were active in the Episcopal Church and the family spent time every summer camping. Judy was also an accomplished seamstress. Robert died in 1998 and Judy moved to Minden in 2006 to be closer to her daughter.

Surviving are two sons, Claude Armour Jr. and Merle (Kris) Query, both of Decatur; six grandchildren, Natalie, Abby, Amanda, Alison, Kyle and Gracie; three sisters, Eva Plummer, Decatur; and Mabel (Jim) Rich and Ada Blake, both of Clinton; and two brothers, John (Nita) Welch and Merle Welch, both of Clinton. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and one sister. She was affiliated with Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Decatur. She retired from UPS, Decatur, with more than 25 years of service.
